Good to have you back Brad. You've always had a respected ride and being a pioneer in doing these people only dreamed of doing. I thought I remembered at one stage an LS1 was going in?

Anyway, I'm sure when you have finished, it will be stunnning as ever :)

Thankyou guys, too many kind words to do a piece by piece reply to but humbled none-the-less.

I just sent a huge PM to Stretch on how I'm re-routing the relay harness (again) so I might just do a cut-n-paste for some info.

"I think you're looking at the first thread where I relocated to next to the battery. I went further and relocated it again to next to the ECU for easier access. It's a PAIN to get to so far up in the bay, and putting it outside the bay where it can be splashed (or drowned) I don't think is the greatest idea ever, so next to the ECU is the best option IMHO (plus it hides yet another engine bay component)

I extended the wiring so it went up the outside of the passenger guard and into the ECU chamber. Since pulling the front end off to smooth the bay I'm looking at taking most of the wiring that comes down the drivers side (and across the radiator support panel, and on to the relay box )and tracing it back to the ECU, then just connecting to the relay box sitting next to it. The only reason all that wiring is under the drivers guard is so the Nissan engineers could place the relay box in easy access of mechanics etc so circumventing all that extra wiring is going to take up a lot less realestate under the guards so I can route some other things under there ;)"

OK, so some big power huh?

    Some of these turbos

    With this motor?

It'll mean a bit of a firesale of all my accumulated parts, but for around $15,000 US it seems like a hell of a good deal really.

Hi mate. I'm from sunny uk and have been following your threads over the years with great interest. I have always seen your car as one of the best I have ever seen. What you have done with your engine has been a inspiration for me to de-clutter my bay and get it looking at least half way as good as yours.
I have re-routed all my wiring as well and some of the pipe work, along with the engine rebuild she is nearly done and will soon be back on the road. So I look forward to see how you do yours and will keep visting to see some more pics.
    Cheers, Ant

I was actually talking to another member about what else you could possibly do to your already awesome car.. It seems no-one will be disappointed :D:zlove:

Cheers guys, I'll be looking forward to some pics of your engine bay and Zed Ant, and you can always find something to tweak or update ZXDEVIL. When I look at what was cool when I first bought my Zed now it looks so dated. Constantly looking at design trends etc doesn't help either ;)

    Hey Brad,

As per conversation today these are the guys who build the motors...

    http://www.importpartspro.com/st5vgloblni3.html

They seem to have a good rep on 300zxclub & twinturbo.net..

Hope Coz may be able to work out something with the core charge??

Thankyou very much! Looks like the Sport700 turbo package is cheaper in there too unless I am missing something.

Is anyone running these JWT Sport700 turbos on here? Would be good to see a dyno graph on how they come on full boost and how high in the rev range.

As I understand it JWT Sport 700's are the same as Disco Potatoes, yeah?

Engine is very close to coming out now...

I don't think I got to post the finished interior shots, maybe I did but seeing as it's a build up thread here's some pics that aren't in my profile...

Pulled the condenser put for the work being done on the bay, but will be going back in using custom plumbing so as not to clutter up the bay. Probably run under passenger guard at this stage.

No worries, motor is about to come out when I get a minute. I only really have had time to do a little bit here and there but it's getting there. Got the workshop lined up and waiting to weld up and smooth the engine bay when the motor comes out which should take about a week, then outa there to do the paint. The ship time to float the new motor over here is looking at 30 to 40 days atm.

I'm currently looking for a custom radiator company to make the new radiator and condensor while taking bits n pieces off the spare motors to be coated and wait for re-assmbly.

Trying to remember what the screw-in hose fittings are called so I can shop for these. Don't want to use hoseclamps unless completely necessary for the radiator. AC condenser, engine oil radiator etc. Will weld in the hard lines to these parts to accept them when I have them made. Anyone know?

Well here is the link to when I did my rebuild. Just skip to the last couple of pages, that's where the final pics are. (Couple more things have changed since those last pics were taken)

Have you thought about bringing another colour into the engine bay?
I was against it first but glad I done it now.
I can take more pics if you need to show where other gear has been moved too.

    Cheers,
