hey egg I doubt the police would bother with fingerprints as they would assume you had insurance and even if they do find a print cant prove anything as well if they are juvenile no punishment. they have other priorites. Some immobilisers can be a pain in the arse as well set too sensitive turn your ignition off over a bump etc anyway lucky eh matt
Glad you are getting it back. But that towing fee, wow!!! Can't you just go and get it yourself? If it's not driveable you could hire a trailer and get for far less than that. Gee, you could probably hire a truck and pick it up for less. I assume you are not in the RACQ? They do it for free up to 8 kms I think and only charge a bit more per km after that. There's gotta be a better way than paying $300
Yeah actually... You could join for a years membership (basic cover) and still get the 10k free (well, 10k in VIC RACV) and have peace of mind and still work out cheaper than 300...
Great news, Paul. Glad to hear it's been recovered. My drivers side door lock is shagged due to some f*ckw!ts trying to steal it. If you do end up buying new locks etc... can I have your passenger door barrel? Anyway, perhaps an alarm & 3rd party (fire & theft) insurance is in order
Why's towing so exxy over there? RAC in WA is $200 for Ultimate cover, and you get a year for unlimited free tows of up to 100km from home, and you get two tows per incident. :| Doesn't even have to be your car. You can be a passenger in someone's car and it'll still cover you. We must have it easy!

Yup, 100% agree. Plus they give you a car and accomodation under some circumstances. $300 for a 10km tow is a total rip!
