Here's some puzzles for you to mull over after the excitement another similar thread generated. When you finish the first one I'll put up another. You can either work out the answer or ask questions I'll give yes or no answers to Interactive forum begins: #1 A man lives on the twelfth floor of an apartment building. Every morning he takes the elevator down to the lobby and leaves the building. In the evening, he gets into the elevator, and, if there is someone else in the elevator -- or if it was raining that day -- he goes back to his floor directly. Otherwise, he goes to the tenth floor and walks up two flights of stairs to his apartment. Why?
He's a midget!!! Wha you ask? Well he can't reach the upper elevator buttons (i.e. anything above the 10th floor), so he asks people to push them for him. When it rains he uses his umbrella. Fairly old one.....bring it vaughn!
ZXxx gets the first one. BTW, don't search the net for the answers (not saying you did ZXxx) cause it ruins all the fun. #2 In the middle of the ocean is a yacht. Several corpses are floating in the water nearby. How did they die?
Corpses are already dead... can't die. [Maybe kaptainrob didn't like his crew and killed them before tossing corpses overboard?]
Are you issuing the questions or can we put up some of our own ones? Thought I'd ask first before I put one up.
corpses are the result of people dying..........hmmmmm lack of water?......dehydration? sharks? killer gnomes? wombezies?
Are the corpses human? or are they bait for the fish that the people on the boat are using to attract fish? Geoff
corpse corpse /kɔrps/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[kawrps] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation ?noun 1. a dead body, usually of a human being.
Close enough to warrant the right answer (can take ages to finish these perfectly). A group of people were on an ocean voyage in a yacht. One day, they decided to go swimming -- they put on their swimsuits and dove off the side. They set out a ladder that was just barely long enough. When they dove into the water, the boat, without their weight, rose slightly in the water, putting the ladder just out of reach.
Good job Topher. #3 A man and his wife raced through the streets. They stopped, and the husband got out of the car. When he came back, his wife was dead, and there was a stranger in the car. What happened?
I bet he crashed, and ran out in search for help. When he got back, either a paramedic or a good samaritan got in to help
