would love to see the end dyno result with barly any other mods bar turbos....

If you have the engine out and fit new turbos, shurley you can afford the other 700$ and get some 650cc injectors to help which will be needed at once stage or another. Aftermarket Turbo upgrade should always have an injector upgrade IMO.

Yes iCER, i agree. While engine is out and your doing even these turbos as an upgrade, i would put at least a set of 555's or as a cheaper alternative, some 650 sards.

Otherwise it's almost a pointless operation doing this turbo upgrade if you don't upgrade your injectors aswell. You'll be maxing them out before you know it.

    JMO.

Isnt that a bit of a contradiction? lol

If no one does before me I should be able to post up dyno results when the time comes (not giving any dates atm, we will see how long everything takes:)). Though mine will be with a turbo back exhaust, pod, Bigger SMICs a tune and maybe even a UD pulley.

seeing how cheap these are they are going to go on my car as well. BTW how much hp would the stock turbos be rated at for a comparison.

Well if it is true that these turbos are now rated to 320hp it means that they are rated at the same hp as the Garrett GT28R - a setup which basically guarantees at least 300rwkw on the zed!

I'm interested in these. Depending on results I may have to rebuild my motor, which I didn't want to do.

    Any futher updates on alignment?

Have there been any improvements since this trial fit to correct the missalignments?

We've fitted 2x on a mate's 300z and with 8psi of boost that car pulls. I'm pretty sure he's going for the dyno tune soon but with just stock gears. so will post some footages very shortly.

and by calculations those 2x turbos should pull 307 rwkws as a twin by 20psi with supporting mods. they are rated at 280HP each.

For installation the passenger side turbo does not match to the flange of the intake pipe and we can not change the shape on the compressor housing. So just cut and clamp it with a silicon hose.

One more thing, any one recommend any Driving trans or toll shaft places that is experienced with the 300ZX? the rear vibration is the only thing now that is stopping this project. and yes I've spent over 1G on that crap and can't get it fixed 100%, I just want to drop it off and take it back with no rear vibrations above 100Km/H

Whats the price for the bigger turbo and are they available?

Well I've ordered a pair to go on my motor. So we'll see how it all goes and I'll certainly post up results etc.

Mrmagoo: Yes ATR25 also comes in a 300HP profile using TR28kai's CHRA. I also have them in 350HP profile but its abit taller then the normal once. Not sure it can fit with out much fibrications.
Akeizm: we are making the 300HP ATR25 for your car at moment. Should get you over 300rwkws easily.

How is this different than the originally posted ATR25 rated at 280hp?
are you just using the original ATR25 4-bolt housings and drilling the guts out bigger to house the TR28ai CHRA?
Now i'm getting more and more interested here, if this is the case, will these be ball bearing? or still the 360 thrust bearing? also what price are you doing these for - and i'm assuming it'll be basically the "bolt on" arrangement due to same size housings?
what do you calculate the 300hp version of the ATR25 will make and what boost potential? (all info on this upgrade option will be appreciated)

    Cheers,
    Benny. :zlove:

can you tell me the actual wheel sizes inducer /exducer on both compressor and turbine ?

I think this is the info you want....

Quote from the Hypergear website on the TR28kai turbo...
And it sounds like this CHRA arrangement will be going in the 4 bolt stock sized housings, making it a bolt-on turbo.
Sounds like some good power there, i'm very interested in this turbo configuration.

That doesn't sound right ...total mismatch

any bigger that gt28rs CHRA is too big.
And that states 49mm inducer /60mm exducer.......
    where gt28rs is 47mm.inducer /60 exducer

    Also the AR @ 86 ? wouldn't it be a laggy mofo?

Hmm, maybe HyperGear can clarify this up a bit for us.
I'm curious to see what lag there will be with this 300hp version of the ATR25.
... but Black Beast, are you saying that the actual turbines are bigger than those on the GT28RS? Crikey, i thought it would be similar to those on the GT28R?

    not the turbines ...the compressor

Well any thing is possible. 60mm comp on a 53mm turbine is a very good mach for about 320HP. Won't be using .86 rear in a VG30 of course. they will be machined into a .63 rear. we can use GT28Rs CHRA, I don't see any reasons for not be able to. Its just profile work on the turbine and compressor housings.
