I was more refering to someone saying they won't respect you for your beliefs no matter what you say. I can't see anyway to justify that comment. And I have never hit a girl (kickboxing practice doesn't count :p), but I'm not going to say it won't happen. I will try to restrain crazy girls first, but if I feel my life is in danger I don't care about someones gender.

I know the point you are trying to make, but I doubt that anyone respects the beliefs of someone who holds lesser moral values.
Fighting to save ones life, is a vastly different matter(the will to live takes over every time).:zlove::zlove::zlove:

Who defines them as lesser moral values? Society? What if you live in an unjust society? Does that mean in Saudi Arabia, your moral views are lesser because they don't conform to society?

And what moral values? What level of moral reasoning is being used?

    Look up http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kohlberg's_stages_of_moral_development

Your just being a smart arse now, seriously no ones talking about being in a life threatening position with some axe/glass wielding crazed psychopathic Goliath of aids infected women running at you threatening to kill you and your family or scratching your car. :bash:

And yes me saying that a guy shouldn't hit women because they are weaker than you is mostly the reason. It would be pretty hard to find a chick who was bigger and stronger than me but even then i wouldn't hit her.

Obvious to most people, but I'll explain it to you.
My comment refers to the moral judgment of the individual making that judgment(it is, afterall, a personal set of standards).

Oh, BTW, Tekkie, why don't you park your car somewhere safe, and stop causing all this trouble?:p:p:p:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::zlove:

    Double Park Baby!

    Yep,

I usually park my Zed way's off away from other idiots in the car park. But it never ceases to amaze me, there will be a bloody HUGE 4X4 parked right next to me:mad: and plenty of parks all around. So far no scratches or door dings yet as this practice has been fairly successful. But it's not that busy here and usually the 'busy' people will want to park right at the front door of the shop. I'm not so busy so I have time to make a small walk across the car park.:)

I witnessed the very same thing one day parked at Kmart, I was waiting for the missus and listening to the radio and this lazy ol Bi*** slammed her door into the one next to it, couldn't believe it - BANG. I sort of felt relieved it wasn't my car, but I got out, gave her a savage look and she saw me and just walked away. I was spewing as I searched for some paper and a pen to get the details and leave it for the dinged car I couldn't find one - typical! Just goes to show you what type of people shop at those establishments, I know that is a huge generalisation, but come on, didn't even blink an eye??

So from now on - I double park across the line so there is plenty of room either side when I park with the rest. I'm waiting for the 'little' note under my wipers to say I'm doing the wrong thing:D Bring it ON...Ha, Ha.

I have another story about my old car, the lancer in my sig

Easter saturday last year, the only saturday I ever worked at my old job, parked in my normal spot, lunch comes and I go out to my car to get something, and there is a dent.. not a dent, a huge scrape (looked like someone hit my car at 30 km/h) from halfway through the front door all the way down to almost my rear taillights, then I looked on the front windscreen to find a piece of paper under my wipers, and I thought "holy ******* shit, a decent person" only to pick up the piece of paper and realise it was BLANK.

I ******* FLIPPED out, and walked around the WHOLE carpark looking for a blue piece of shit with green paint on any of his bumpers. Anyone who was parked in that car park that day is lucky they didn't have the above descripted car because I would have smashed every single panel and piece of glass on it. I'm glad I didn't because I would have gotten in alot of trouble, but god I was pissed off. Ended up only costing like $500 to get fixed, but still.. its $500 I shouldn't have had to spend!!!!

I know all to well how you feel mate. Such a shame so near to the projects completion :( . As the discussion has made quite clear, the majority of people these days just have no respect. Im only 22 but still know better :( .

Heres a couple of pics from some damage an obviously white commodore left after a trip to the shops. I parked next to it and they have scraped me on their way out. They would have known they hit, infact I suspect scraped it, went back and reversed again. My alarm is quite sensitive and definitely would have gone ape shite...no note..nothing   . I only spotted it the next morning, remembering the white holden from the day before.

    :( :( :(

Because he is a *******, and he needs to learn that he is a *******, me beating the **** out of him may not teach him that BUT it will help him realise that.

Plus she is my girl, that means if anyone hurts her in the past or future they are in trouble, you may say "well it was in the past" **** that, the past paves the way for the futrue so **** him.

I just think its a bit odd to argue about not hitting women, but to advocate going out and assaulting people you dont know, for something that may or may not have happened years ago, that had nothing to do with you then or now. Get my point? Did your girlfriend leave him when he hit her, or file police charges? If not then I cant say I would have much sympathy for her, certainly not enough to wear a criminal conviction "to defend her slighted honor".

Can I firstly appologise to DrongoMan for giving him the wrong idea about my post, and me for that matter.

Sometimes, well quite alot as it happens, posts on the web are taken out of context and someone sense of humour doesn't come through. My original post was put out as a joke but not as a flippent one and with no meaning towards wife (or girl friend) beaters. I agree with DrongoMan on that point and sometimes get myself wound up to the point of loosing it when I se the results of domestic violence.

Anyway my point that I tried to put accross was, just because the car was chipped you shouldn't dent the other car. Now don't jump down my throat at this point because if you read my first post the bloke in it (not myself by the way) was meant to come accross as thinking more of cars than he does of his girlfriends, and might not have been aware of the damage or might have been going to find a pen and paper to jot down his details.

You don't know the frame of mind the other guy was in, he might have been remorseful or just didn't care, but to turn around and damage anothers car willfully makes you worse than they are, after all they might just be careless but you would be a lot worse, criminal even.

Now as for my not posting up for so long in the thread, I am not a keyboard ninja, just on the other side of the world and miss out whole days of you lot posting.

    Sorry again, Scrawni.

    Apathy is rewarded by inaction.

Going through life being treated as a doormat is no way to live.

If he was truly remorseful, you would leave a note apologising. His car would have been left intact.

Damage me or my property by accident or on purpose WITHOUT remorse will result in retaliation.

    Easy as that.

Run over one of my kids when you are drunk and see how far being remorsful gets you. I would spare no expense putting you behind bars and agitatiing to keep you there as long as possible.

Everytime you affect another individual in negative fashion. If people knew there would be retaliation for every event they cause. There would be a lot more considerate people in this world.

The "assured mutual destruction" analogy comes to mind. That worked for 50 years.
