pretty keen but couple questions the included relays that people dont seem to install, whats the point of them? & how hard are they to install? something i can do myself or best left for an auto-elec? & whats the best kelvin rating for lighting? saw 4300 mentioned but it also said it was the 'best blue', if im not fussed about wanky blue lights whats the absolute best for lighting? colour can be white, yellow, whatever as long as it gives the best illumination. cheers, tim
If you don't want blue then stay in the 4300 to 5000k range with regard to installation. Globes are a straight swap. 10 minutes a side if you don't use the relay kit. A 10yo child could do it.
Put me down for a set H3 6000K I was thinking about this upgrade and last night one headlight bulb blew so it seems to be a message to upgrade This is the right kit for low beams correct? Cheers Tim
The relay kit uses the 12V signal that normally operates the headlights to activate a relay, which in turn switches power directly from the vehicle battery. It gives a more stable (and probably) higher voltage. It may improve bulb life. I tried with and without relay when I installed mine, and I also tried one light direct and one light through the relay at the same time to see if there was any difference. I found none. I have decided to forego the relay kit as there is enough clutter under the bonnet already. I can't see there being a problem, as long as you start the engine before you turn on the lights, as that is really the only big voltage drop I can see that would be detrimental.
Yep the relay is just get power from battery so give the bulb longer life and that's it. so far we have: hot300zx H3 4300K H3 4300K ZD32NV H3 6000K NightFallTech H3 ????k possibly interested Chrispy H3 6000k GTP VLBT1 H3 6000K H? ????K dink H3 5000K Zealous H3 ????K Z-Force H3 6000K ADEMON H3 6000K tHeSmUrF H3 4300K aK H3 6000K Phoenix84 H3 6000k 80% in Mike80 H3 5000K NickTT H3 5000k Planit Z H3 ????K Musky123456

Just installed mine These things kick arse and have a nice cut off even with the standard projector. Upgraded from phillips 4300k which were good but nowhere near as good as these. The whole kit seems good quality and the instruction manual is hours of fun: 'Be careful to avoid beating and cutting bulbs, not to touch bulbs with fingers, which will bring blots'
