Dont really no anything about how the turbos are going to fit johno. Supposed to be a direct bolt up job, with a small mod to the compressor inlet pipe. They are gt2560r garrets and already have the smaller actuators and have been clocked to fit zeds in the states, no sure about the difference between LHD and RHD zeds. Looking at them beside the stock snails, everything seems to be in the right place. What sold me on this model turbo, was its lightening spool up, and the fact that they will produce up to 600whp with support, which I have in spades. Plenty off pics to come:biggrin::zlove:
engine bay before and after Cleaned up the bay, and did a bit off painting, what a pain in the arse it was. Before After
Tell me about it But well worth it, looks so much better with a blinged up engine and gets away form the clean spot on a dirty face look
Pic's time not much to show here, bit off painting and cleaning is all. rank flair not a good shot Old shot, before I left a rag in the inlet pipe. Old shot. Should look something like this finished
Looks bitchin Geoff. I was gonna go for a black plenum too but i dont want to be copying you. i might go for black wrinkle finish v-tech style
Hmm Took a couple off pics at the builders yesterday. Take a look at the water galleries, I see rust and scale that should not be there, or is that normal? When i asked the builder about it, he said that would be taken care off later wtf! I'm starting to wounder if the block was hot tanked now, not happy at all
Since hot-tanking removes any oil deposits the bare metal will rust up very quicly. If your engine has been sitting around for a while then I'm not suprised.
Its been sitting round for two weeks like that peter, I worry maybe to much, so someone else tell its normal.
Rust yes. Scale no. Rust will form quite quicky but scale takes a long time. It is also very difficult to remove. alot of the scale will not come off with hot tanking. so i wouldnt worry too much unless it was a specific item you asked to get done
Picking up my engine tomrrow from donteck motors. And i have to say its looking dam fine! Thanks to Joe and warren, who are both helpfull and understanding, I'll post pics tomorrow:biggrin:    :zlove:
Looks great Geoff... That RHS actuator looks VERY tight. Did it end up fitting with no mods??? Doesn't look long till she will be in and running. What else is there to do?
