Fiberglassing should be done by a professional in a biohazard suit.
I am paranoid about my health to the point that I avoid Teflon pans, aspartame (artificial sugars), msg, processed foods, bad water (including bottled), chemicals and their smells, and the list goes on...
So when I went to fiberglass I took the greatest precautions; a full mask with vents, clothes to discard, multiple layers of gloves and doing the work in the driveway.
So there I was at night time with a very bright spot light and starting to cut the cloth with scissors. Next thing I know there is a glitter of glass dust raising up and filling the air. Even later as I rolled on resin, the smell still leaked in and I felt shitty after.

Moral of the story, dont risk your health unless your in a 100% safe setup.
Once one is sick, you see that all the money in the world isnt worth it.

    Hahahaha

But seriously Ztoy has worked with fibreglass many times before, if he can come up with his own moulds and produce parts for a Z32 which actually fit perfectly, im sure he knows the stuff well... :)

Many health hazards arent publicly know till years later... just 50 years ago doctors used to advertise cigarettes on TV.
It was by chance that I went to fiber at night, next time do the same with a spot light and you'll see a winter wonder land of floating glass, no joke.

Just an FYI on bonnet mods Al.

Any additional venting must be constructed using the same materials as the bonnet.
Any rearward opening vents must be sealed from the engine compartment.
Any leading edges must have a 10mm radius.

In other news, I would be keen for some fibreglass panels, pretty much all of them, bonnet, doors, guards, targas and hatch.

That is a bit stupid. What is the point of having a bonnet vent if it cannot vent due to it being sealed.

Thanks for the info there Eric.

Im limited as to how many molds I can make right now, but I am in the process off looking for a small workshop to lease so I can stop doing these at home.

    Where is that from Eric?

Everything I have found has no restriction on rear facing vents, and bulges/scoops etc only have to be made from the same material as the bonnet if parts of the intake manifold or engine stick through the original bonnet line.

Short of my signature pic I haven't had the time to take photos yet. Let me just say that the look is great, and there is plenty of room behind the bar for a FMIC. Only "mod" to the bar I had to make was to grind the "SMIC vents" at the bottom out a little bit to fit the piping. Otherwise it was perfect. Measuring the location to drill the mounting screws into was even unnecessary - they lined up absolutely perfectly with the indents at the mounting points on the front bumper.

I am very impressed, and ztoy should be extremely proud of the quality of his products. I'll just need to get it sprayed properly before I can show it off ;)

This is a pretty long shot Mr. Toy, but I reckon you'd be able to sell a LOT of Tommy Kaira replica rear wings... they're impossible to find and by far the best aftermarket style wing for the Zed

i'd buy one straight up... perhaps mr. pex could be persuaded to aid in the making of a mold?

I agree. The stock one's are a bit boring and the high rise one's make the car look like a shopping trolley.
