Thanks Ryan, well done to you too.

And here I was thinking you were just a hoon. Seems you are not a bad driver either, you did pretty well in some of the skid pan events too.

first of all Karyn thanx for everything. i had a ball. my first time out on a proper motorkhana day and it was the best :D. pretty happy with my results as i havnt done anything like this before. it really tested you some of those skid pan runs, especially trying to go the correct way :bash: lol...

none the less i wasnt racing with all my might to get the best times. i was just having a ball and having fun. :D but results were still relativly there

so what i understand for the backtrack is i got 11th place fastest lap overall. and from our group i was 3rd fastest overall. dammm top effort ryan thats awsome, very good result for stock :D

and peter black thats excellent result. just came out of no where. should keep an eye on you more closely now :p

As Karyn said, sideways is fun, and you always looked to be so in control while you were going sideways.

Hey Guys, Great to see that you all enjoyed yourselves on Sunday as this is what we put these days on for. Standing on the start line of the back track for most of the day, I missed most of the antics of the skidpan......... I know that the FPV guys enjoyed the rivalry as they do when we do sprint days with the HSV club.

I did notice that the majority of the 2nd run times on the back track did improve as the day went on. Although I didn't compete in the day officially, there was a Ford that came 3rd outright  on the back track (not taking anything away from the guys who were competing)....... After Group 3 finished before the challenge on the skid pan, one of the guys (Silver XR8) offered me a drive in his car.........so what do you do when someone offers this? You have to oblige. I told him to get in as I feel a bit funny about driving other peoples cars especially with something like this. I got a 47.52sec time with the first pass and this was the first time that I had even been in the car then told him to get out and get the wife in and did a 48.23 (took it a bit easier with her in the car). I was quite happy with the first time but I dont think that Roland was especially as I beat his best time by nearly two seconds...:p

As we keep in contact with Pete either through the NDSOC or locally at home, I am sure that he will let you know when there is another event on that we organise.

    Cheers,

    Sean

damn i suck at everything, can't we just ignore the results for the atom? oh well, still pretty happy with my times for the other skidpan tracks.
congrats to peter black, consistency is the main thing with these events and i still haven't managed to do an event where i haven't done a wd. i really want to go to a SAU deca now and try to win rwd class, just need some better tyres and need to be consistent for the whole day.
also congrats to ryan, you're a psycho. i didn't know you were capable of driving fast without having a car infront of you to tailgate :p for a stock car, you did really well.

Thanks for having the patience to stand out there and time us all day, it was great weather for driving, not the best for standing around and timing though. Most appreciated.

I guess at least he is using his powers of hooning for good rather than evil. :)

i think he had two other people in the car and i think he was telling me that he didn't brake for the first chicane, he took saw a straight line through it and nailed it.

so it was ryan who hit that chicane. it went missing, and we didnt know who hit it. NOW WE KNOW WHY HE GOT SUCH A GOOD TIME.... JIBBBBEDDDD  :zlove::zlove:

HAHA so without his fastest run which he went straight thru one chicane he would of came 24th.

just as i thought, i was talking on the day to pete that i was just behind him in backtrack in times.

then ryan comes out and says this time im like

    JIBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBEDDDDDDDDD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey dont get jealous chad that i beat you:p...and dont make up stories i didnt hit even one cone or anything on the backtrack for my time...the first chicane was were i made my time go sooo well....i saw a really straight line through it and i thought ill try not to brake...and i didnt i went through it but i pushed it to the limit...its good with body roll you can go around corners/cones alot easier:p...but i had no guys to go over the hill like you chad...NO CHANCE IN HELL, that was pure hooning from your part PHYSCO!....i lifted off and touched the brake a lil...just dont like the tought of the car flying in mid air:p...but i really wish i had more boost at that stage coz i could have used it and gotten better acceleration...also the last chicane before the garage is also another place i got some time, my tyres started squeeling through it...i was going a bit tooo fast trough that:eek:...but the first 3 runs we had made me learn alot and the last run was what i could do with all that knowledge...the more you do it the more you learn ey...but i loved it, i love the speed and how you have to use your brake just enough and just everything...its got me into the buzz for trackdays, deca, and soo on...next time though im getting some semi's, chad you looked like you had a ton of grip man:D:zlove:...i loved the day:D
