That particular ebay seller only sells 35w (i think??).
But yeh unless you specifically request 55w you will only get 35w.

Note: Even for high beam u could get away with 35w coz its more the angle/reflectors that make high beam good.
The bulbs are inside your headlights so just as water resistent as normal ones. The ballasts should be kept away from water as should all elec devices. If you mount them where I did you wont have a problem.

I recently installed a set into my hi-beams (H1), because I was so impressed with the low beams (H3) that I installed several months ago.

I have the 6000K version from Ivan at Ebuyproducts for both hi & low beam. These use 35 watts, which is more efficient than the old yella helogen globes of 55 watts in both the high and low beams.

I had two ballasts die on me with the first set of lights, which Ivan replaced no questions asked, and he even paid return postage. You also get 18 months written warranty from him, and a 24 hour quick response, and you can talk to him over the phone! Great Bloke!!

Ivan now has a much better quality ballast, which I received with my new H1 set.

These are so easy to install, the hardest part was getting my hands into the back of the lights to remove the old globes, especially on the passenger side.

I would also suggest you get the SMD Parker globes for the extra $10, they really match in well being ultra white.

I installed extra fuse holders on the positive leads prior to the ballasts, just in case there is extra power drain on the wiring and switches, these have 10 watt fuses. So far no fuses have blown. I have heard that HID's can draw up to 40 amps on startup, but not saying these do, but a few stories some years ago with upgrades to WRX's burning out the switches and wiring?

I cant see why these would be illegal, as the new 350Z has them fitted as standard in low beams, and Merc's, BMW's and other luxury cars now have them as standard. However I would suggest aiming them lower as they can be dazzling for onward coming traffic.

Just wondering, are those prices listed on ebay US Dollars or Aussie Dollars? If they are US dollars, then the price would higher than advertised.

Definitely worth the upgrade though!

Fair enough there being housed in a projector setup BUT what makes them illegal is the fact they don't have auto levelers.

Well the seller seems to sell these HIDs in lots of countries. The one I bought was in AUD. But he also sells them on the UK ebay etc in GBP. The price works out roughly the same anyway.

Mine worked out to be under $70 AUD delivered. Very happy with them.

here is my 3000k on low beam before, very yellow

    the visibility increase significantly.
you may say this is illegal, but once i went to cop station ask them it is illegal ok not, they give no comment.
and many time i was right behind cop car or cross over a cop car, they did nothing.
you can judge what does it mean.

i have 6000k low beam and 3000k fog light now(take photo later)
when both on, the visibility is incredible. remember, i only use cheap ebay HID.

and i strongly believe, most HID you can find online, are from the same factory. the reason is, i have different HID set, with different ballast and bulbs, they can interchange. only difference is the label.
so, if they are different, the company and factory should make their uniqueness product in other to protect their profits.
what i think is, dont be fooled, higher price doesnt mean better quality. you pay more, actually the money goes into the seller's pocket.

So were they easy to install?!

I hate driving the car at the moment due to the poor visibility with the current headlights!

come on, light is one of the easiest part to work with, just next to wheel change. i m not a knowledge person but still can do it, plug and play, that is.
some people offer $250 for installation, this is bullshit! get a cheap one, DIY, no problem, seriously easy!;)

Go for a ride in a Z with HID lows at night, it's literally night vs day over halogen. If (as do I) the Z has HID High beams too, take your sunnies along.

On high beams the HIDs can be so bright, the green freeway signs make me squint .

Yeah, that's not so bad then. Your HID high beam would be wicked bright, I'd just get it anyway. You should be able to get away with that you'd think...

OMFG! The difference is unbelievable!! That's awesome!

So those photos are of the HID's that you linked from ebay yeah? If it is i'm definately ordering some!

    Benny_C About as subtle as...

    Yes Nicole, easy job

no soldering or wiring up needed at all. just order the standard H3 kit and the 2 existing wires that plug into your stock light plug simply plugs into the new transformer plug that the kit comes with. then you just insert the new bulb into the lense.

On another note, most of these ebay HID kits all come from the same factory, so whether you pay 120 or 70 for a set, it's most likely to be the same quality.
I bought a set of these cheap ones from Hong Kong about 2 years ago for about $90 delivered, and still going beautifully. :zlove:

Anyone who has them never has bad things to say about them. that should be testimonial enough for non-believers. ;)

    Fog Light Bulb Change...

How did u go with the foggies? was this a big task to change the bulb there?:confused:

Im thinking of going the 8000K for low beams, and for the foggies i want to put in the 25,000K. Never have much need for the foggies here anyway so might as well make sum fun use of them.:)
