Ok guys looking at the next step in my upgrading which is definately going to be braking... All of these parts are on my "to buy" list, can get them at the following prices with enough (5 or more for brake kits and brake lines) interest. So let me know what you think! I don't have a timeframe as of yet so pretty flexible in that regard...

Wondering what kind of interest there would be in the following products....

    UAS stage 1 Brake Upgrade

FRONT UPGRADE KIT - INCLUDES 324MM DBA 4000 SERIES HEAT TREATED & SLOTTED ROTORS, BILLET STEEL ADAPTERS WITH HELICOIL THREAD & HIGH TENSILE GRADE 12 ALLEN KEY BOLTS UTILIZING THE FACTORY CALIPERS.

    NOTE: FACTORY ROTORS ARE 280MM

Price: For the upgrade kit including, adapters, fittings, and DBA 4000 series rotors we are looking at $570/kit with a minimum of five orders. Brake pads are optional; Bendix Ultimates are an extra $110, and high quality SBS ceramic pads in a special pattern to offer more rotor coverage with this setup are an extra $245.

We also have the option of purchasing this upgrade with DBA curved vane rotors with fish hook slots and heat treated with thermo paint indicators. These rotors are exclusive to UAS and offer better cooling as the curved vane sucks hot air from the middle of the rotor like on race car applications.

These rotors are limited in availability and are an optional extra $250 as part of the group buy.

    UAS brake air-deflectors

Alloy air deflectors for the front brakes. These are arguably better than ducts and most importantly as they are fixed they won't wear out like ducting which travels up and down millions of times in a year on a road car. As mentioned in another thread these were tested on the president of SAU's car at a recent track day and when tested with a heat gun the side using air deflectors was one hundred degrees cooler...

These are also a perfect fit and will not restrict wheel movement at all. Easy to install and remove. These air deflectors are made from tig welded, lightweight alloy, and come in an anodised black finish as pictured. Mounting screws (also pictured) are included

    Price: $50

    Braided Brake Lines

These are Braided Goodridge lines which are ADR complied and suitable for motorsport applications. They have a lifetime warranty and use aluminium Swage fittings with anti wip, same as V8 supercars.

    Price: $195

    Brake Fluid

Optional Motul RBF600 brake fluid which is a top end fluid for road or race use. Retail is $29.95 for 500ml, pricing for those participating in brake upgrade group buy would be $25 for 500ml.

I'm keen on the braided lines.
And with the fluid, what DOT rating is it and how many bottles would be needed for a full flush?

Any chance of getting some GB prices on the UAS master cylinder brace?

    Thanks Rob :) :zlove:

I'm interested in the braided brake lines. Also, maybe in UAS cylinder braces that are compatible with the UAS strut bars?

Pulled this off the Motul website

    RBF 600 FACTORY LINE
100% synthetic, RBF 600 FACTORY LINE is a polyglycol-based brake fluid exclusively designed for races. Developed to resist high temperatures and wet-weather conditions, RBF 600 has a high dry boiling point of 312°C and a wet boiling point of 216°C. This ensures effective braking under extreme racing or rainy conditions. Couple this with its outstanding anti-vapor lock performance, RBF 600 has become a well-trusted brake fluid in many races.

    • Feature 100% synthetic, polyglycol-based. Has extreme thermal resistance and stability.
    • SAE/DOT Standard FMVSS 116, DOT4 & SAE J1703
    • Compatibility All types of hydraulic actuated brakes and clutch systems (not to be used with silicon-based and mineral-based brake fluids).

Don't know how much is needed for a full flush I will find out.

Will do my best with this one.

Which rotors? DBA4000? Or the curved vane rotors?

OK I have john@UAS digging out the scales and I have also emailed DBA. I'm getting weights of DBA4000 and DBA5000 series rotors and hats let you know when I hear back.

Roughly one litre needed for a complete flush, so 2x 500ml bottles which would be $50 and among the best on the market.

A full flush needs about 1L if you do it properly without wasting fluid. On that note, can you also ask them for a price on Castrol SRF? It comes in 1L bottles which is perfect for a full flush.

    Density @ 150C - 1.06
    Dry Boiling Point - 310C
    Wet Boiling Point - 270C
    Viscosity @ 1000C (cSt) - 3.5
    Viscosity @ -400C (cSt) - 130

    Master Cylinder Braces

OK they have some master cylinder braces in stock of the kind pictured below. These will definately fit with a front strut brace I have one myself. Price would be $110 if purchased as a part of this group buy.

HIGHLY POLISHED 316 GRADE STAINLESS STEEL WITH STAINLESS ALLEN KEY BOLTS & FITTING INSTRUCTIONS

Cheers Rob and Vaughan... I did some searching on RBF600 and turns out FranZ uses it, so it must be good.
Any approximate date for this to be going ahead? I've got rego this week so will be abit short of money for a few weeks...

    Brake lines

Pricing on the brake lines is for a complete set ie all four of them. Good price considering it's not much more than non-approved, no warranty bok-choi stuff...

in that case count me in for a set of braided brake lines :D
