Maybe the Brisbanites and gold coasters could have a special get together for a photo shoot of their zeds... in certain good places that members know of for great shots??? that would be good

PM sent, to clarify this will only open to Australian registered cars only.

lol, Cam, just like I did for some people, just post them up and say which member they are. Preferrably a separate post for each car, but I know thats a bit late now :p
Ideally each member would have access to the photos if someone else took them so they could post the photos themselves...

hahahaha, good one...At the end of the day if the photo is good enough then it will be fine. I would prefer images submitted to be unedited as the idea will be to later edit them so the final set will look like they have the same style...make sense?

Stanny, yes, I dont have any of the photos from last year...

To answer your first question, my opinion is that YES, you can submit them. Your car is definitely a quality machine, was good to have a close look at the Nats!

As for your second question though, I need single images of that size, otherwise it wont suit the rest of the calendar (if it gets in ;))

This is meant to be an opportunity for members to get nice new shots of their cars whether or not they make it into the calendar, so that sounds like a great idea! Just keep in mind that the shots for submission should be individual shots, not group shots... :)

LOL, yes, once submissions close, members who are purchasing the calendar (seems to be half the forum atm) will get to vote for their top 12 cars. The top 12 overall will then go to the next stage :) This keeps the votes fair and gives the members control of the content :)

    Benny_C About as subtle as...

Regarding night shots, if these calendars are going to be digitally printed then dark shadow areas will tend to fill in more thus loosing some amount of detail. So be careful if submitting night shots.

If these are being offset printed, that will hold darker shadow areas a lot better for higher detail.

Just something to consider regarding night shots. I'm not sure what printing process you're going to be using Andrew but it's just something you may want to let people know when they are submitting photos. :)

While you are clearing a few points up, can I ask about rego plates?
Personally, I would prefer all photos to show rego plates, and not have them smudged, cleared, or otherwise obliterated, as I think that treatment detracts from the end photo.

Can you state your position on this?

If your approach follows mine, then people that don't want their rego shown can buy/fit a 'show' plate prior to taking pics. Once again, I think simply removing plates won't do justice to the end photos.

yes but what gets posted in this thread is just a sample since the final selection is selected by forum users. IF the image is selected then you email a raw unedited photo (3000x2000) or larger to andrew.

in other words, the tiny, edited and resized ones in here are not going onto the calender. not to mention there is no real point emailing them right now until andrew gives the word.

    Love your Z NoZed :zlove:

In regards to what Mikey was saying with the number plates, maybe give people the option and if they don't want their actual rego shown in the calender you could either replace the letters and numbers with random characters or their forum nickname in rego character font (as long as its not too long ;))...that way it keeps the rego plates and a consistent look to the calender photos while keeping everyone happy.

What's your spin on the issue Andrew?

    Cheers!

Do you still have some of mine? It would be great to see it in a calendar, specially because it will be on the open market very soon.

Again to help clarify, for the final images they must be unedited, and this is meant to include number plates. If a car gets into the final 12 and the owner does not want their plates (personalised or standard) to be shown we will make a clean alternative that will not lower the quality of the calendar.

As for posting photos in this thread, ie where the masses can see, I dont mind if people want to blur them out, as long as stated above, when a raw image is required, I dont receive a mutilated image...

Hey Jono, no mate, I lost ALL my photos when my HDD crashed last year...I have not one, not two, but three backups this time! Post up your favourite four and then send me the full sized ones on MSN if you like :)

    Cheers, Andrew

Cool picture, but I dont know if evidence of 25 Z's illegal parked (if they are) would be good for a calender.

Why were they all parked blocking half the road, is there a gate or something ?

Was well outside Coona @ zedfest a few years ago... Think it was just before or after a certain dirt road...

Yeah, I'm saving the proper photoshoping for later, no point spending lots of time perfecting a sample...hehe

As for those two, they are similar angles to the other two shots and arent quite as sharp...I thought by putting up 3, you still have one more you can submit later on if you go for a photoshoot :)

    Cheers, Andrew
