    Gday all,

Being the first of June, submissions for the 2010 forum calendar are now open!

    "Entries close August 16th!".

Any updates to this thread that affect submissions or information regarding the calendar will be updated by MODs to this post for easy tracking.

    Submission requirements

    • Image Quality - Please ONLY submit images that have a high image quality. Images from mobile phones and low quality cameras can't be accepted as they will not print well.
    • Image Size - Please again ONLY submit images which have an original file size of at least 3000x2000 pixels (thats a 6mega pixel camera) and are in landscape (horizontal) format.
    • No. of Images - To keep things tidy, can each owner only submit a maximum of 4 images of each car.
    • Posting Images - When posting your images, please resize them to roughly 800x533 pixels so the thread can remain viewable for low bandwidth users. Images must be unedited within reason
    • Important Information - Any image submitted MUST be authorised for use in a comercial environment. Images taken by third parties must be approved before they can be used. All rights must be waivered for use in the calendar.
    • Images submitted must be of an individual car, group shots can't be used.
    • Submissions are open to Australian registered cars only.
    • Selection Process - once submissions close, members who are purchasing the calendar (seems to be half the forum atm) will get to vote for their top 12 cars. The top 12 overall will then go to the next stage

    last updated 09/06/09

Note: Once submissions close, a RAW (un-modified) version of the images submitted must be sent or emailed for inclusion in the final selection process. Images may be edited once submitted as seen fit for use in the calendar.

    Cheers, Andrew

What if your Z is shit and you'd rather submit photos of other members cars? :p

Nothing wrong with night shots, as long as you can get good exposure.

This one would be too dark to print well.

    Good question.....

Does it matter if the zed is known to be shit, but you can turn out a good photo? :D

How about Photochops to cover stone chips? :D

Yeah, I know but dark colours come up differently on screen and printed, remember that a screen actually produces light on anything less that 100% pure black (and sometimes even then).

The side of the car would all be basically pure black if you printed it unless your printing process had weak blacks in the first place.

Go into photoshop, bring up the 'info' display and hover the mouse over the darker areas of an image. Look at the RGB values, anything around 30, 30, 30 or below will print black or very close to it in most printing processes.

    Hope that helps :)

    Thanks for that.

Rough idea on a dead line? Going to consider repraying my car so I can submit it. :D Just need another car, a place to spray (Looks to Nasty Girl) and a week off work haha.

As you can see, she don't look real flash . Going for brighter colours this time around. :)

I guess half a zed don't count ... image size

I guess half a zed don't count... given some don't consider a V8 powered zed a zed any more

what about a Montague image to get to the required image size
