That's a shame, i'm still in at this stage as I don't drive my car much so i'll wait as long as I can. I still need a new radiator but not in a major hurry so we'll see what happens anyway. Cheers Ben
Top news Tom let me know when you get them we may be able to do a test together with the PWR twin pass and see whats what if you are keen. If all works out well I will buy it too So yeah let me know Jas
Great to hear champ No pressure, but any idea how long it might take from you having samples to play with till full production starts? Just curious that's all. Plus gives me some time to start saving Cheerio Ben
I would say only a few weeks if the samples check out OK. I'll have more info as it comes to hand! Cheers, Tom
hey guys, since jasons other gb aint going ahead, and its pretty much that time anyway looks like im back in! *joe swasons voice from family guy* CMON GUYS!!! LETS DO ITTTT!!!!! lol lucky for yous i been so busy with uni i didnt have a chance to buy a new rad! as the old list was, im not holding anyone to what they said being a long time ago but lets get some bearing for the actual group buy hey guys, last time we had this. me Vbevan CurnZ ascension zedipated LazyZed bris32 anyone else who wants in holla at me!
Count me in, unless that ebay radiator turns out to be any good (I doubt it). Can us WA guys get together for a mini-tech day for fitment? Also, an eta once known will help greatly.
this is a gathering rate! like 15 mins and another person haha, yeah mtentori i thought that ebay rad seemed dodgy just via its dimensions, never heard of a 56mm zed radiator??? me Vbevan CurnZ ascension zedipated LazyZed bris32 Mtentori p.s. it sits into oem mounts so it shouldnt be to hard to chuck on, diff lower rad pipe is all. will definatly keep yous posted as tom keeps me posted, look forward to hearing your results tom!
awesome man, ynot ey. sorry couldnt help it. me Vbevan CurnZ ascension zedipated LazyZed bris32 Mtentori ynot thats 9 people, one more and we can get the price tom said WOOT WOOT! im sure that if we couldnt get anyone else jason could fill that spot hmm tom what if we get like 15 people?
yep im keen pending mechanics bill and what they look like.. .was going to flush the rad anyway...has any one actully measured temps and stats on the benefits of these?
tom said he should be geting the samples monday (yesterday) so might be able to hear some results by the end of the week eh.
Prototype Update Well I received my three samples about a week ago... Problem is I stuffed up the height of them and they are too tall! About an inch and a half too tall! The TIG welding that hold the core to the end tanks are nice but a bit sloppy around the top where the filler neck and bleed screw are located. The next revision will be the right size and the welds a little neater... I'm also going to move the mounts in a little so the radiator will sit as close as possible to the chasis, meaning more room for the fan and shroud. So, does anyone want to buy a 53mm twin pass that is a little too tall? I have three of them to go and i'll get rid of them for $150 delivered aussie wide. It wouldn't be too hard to get the radiator trimmed down.. Might be a cheap solution for someone on a budget and good with their hands!
Could you modify the lower mounting position to make it sit lower? If so, I might be interested :zlove: PM me what needs to be done to make them fit. Good to see the radiator's coming on tho. Not long until a finished product is ready Cheers Rob
Hey, shame to hear about the delay but I might be interested in one of the rejects. The rad in my F100 is on the way out and i've done some measurements and it looks pretty close. Question is will one of these be able to handle the heat from a 351 Cleveland? I would have to assume yes but hopefully someone with some knowledge can shed some more light. The stock F100 rad is a little wider and taller and a little thicker but with these being alloy and twin pass I would think it would be sufficent. Thoughts? Ben
