hey guys if anyone has read my previous post, well this is where its going too. group buy is for a 53mm twin pass radiator which fits into oem placing and comes with a a/m alloy rad pipe to make it fit. Price is 499 for the rad and 50$ for the alloy rad pipe, price isnt set yet. radiator is 100% aluminium and pressure tested with air and water to 50psi. this group buy needs 10 people or more for this price, and it is going through ZRATED (tom) on this web site. also note that this radiator wont be ready untill april so it will be a while away. at the moment, looking for people, had about 3-4 people say theyr in already so it shouldnt be too bad. any questions, ask me or message zrated. thanks guys.
well im looking for atleast 9 other people to buy one with me to get it at that price... so i guess that makes it a group buy? and yeah not till april so plenty of time to get funds organised. so far: me Vbevan nickTT should be a few more from other thread such as Big Baz, Zedipated, and someone else i think.
Would like to note that like the majority of aftermarket radiators, this one does not include a transmission coolers for the automatic Z's out there... An external cooler would have to be installed if you would like to use this radiator in an automatic (it's recommended that you install an external tranny cooler anyway) Please enquire with Caz Racing for a great aftermarket transmission cooler made by B&M. The radiator is PZP (Perth Z Performance)... It's like a hybrid of the Koyo and PWR... 53mm thick like the Koyo and twin pass like the PWR.
Can anyone tell me, whats the diff between an aftermarket oil cooler and an auto trans cooler? Are they very diff designs? Or just diff sizes?
the Auto radiator contains a small oil cooler in the side walls. going 2 a aftermarket cooler is necissary since the new radiators dont hold these miniture coolers.. just go external its the best way
Mmmm, sounds good. I'll have to see what my funds are like closer to april. I've got a whole engine to rebuild before I start worrying about rad upgrades.
Sorry, I meant what's the diff between an aftermarket auto trans fluid cooler and an aftermarket engine oil cooler. Could one be substituted for the other?
hmm it was my understanding that the cooler just makes the oil pass through the cooler (which is gettin the breeze from the wind) this resulting in it cooling the oil in the sump, the oil in the sump which is delivered into the engine/auto box etc. i didnt actually think that there is a cooler that runs actual transmission fluid through it? i thought the auto box was cooled by a oil pump that goes through the middle, could be wrong tho.
I doubt there is any problems with substituting one for the other. I woudn't be surprised if alot of them were just the same unit re-packaged in different boxes. Ben
