I agree, HOK colours are always dynamic. Not sure if I will go that way yet, was thinking of carrying the interior colours thru to bay. Tones it down a bit and more restrained impact. Can't deny that bay looks amazing though.

Just got a price update off Coz, looks like another big box heading my way again :)

BTW, why isn't there a set of turbos that will flow 1000 ponies yet? So frustrating!

did you check out the specialtyz turbo kits?
    http://specialtyz.com/shop/300zx/turbo/sz-exp-turbo-kits.html
they say the sz-100 kit will do 1000hp, i think kabir has the 900hp sz-90 kit.

Forget 1000hp unless you have a spare $10k lying around for custom billet girdle......

The crank and girdle become suspect over 800hp and there are instances on tt.net of cars breaking cranks making over 1000hp with front mount turbo kits. Although the most recent one I can think of they did not use a harmonic balancer and didn't balance the rotating assembly so may be more than one contributing factor.

Similar to PWR but not as thick.

I dare say the 56mm PWR with dimple tubes would be a more efficient core too.

He is right about the shroud though. My car still running a bit warm with thick twinpass rad and SPAL thermofan so am getting a high tech shroud similar to those used on newer Jags made up by PWR at the moment.

I reckon its worth the gamble even with the stock girdle and crank. Just make sure that you have a freaking good set of studs. as much as I realise that a few have broken, if you focus very carefully on balancing...... there are a few out there that have achieved this HP without breaking. probs wont be sustainable though.
also 10K is a bit steep for a custom billet girdle, I reckon I could shave a good 2K of that....still expencive though.
and also, as far as turbos go, why not use water meth injection to shift the curve along a bit? and then top it up with NOS if necessarry. (how the freak do you spell that anyway?)

    Benny_C About as subtle as...

    "nos" = N2O

Looks good. Though it appears you have plastic end tanks???

I think he has just blacked out the tops of the tanks. Website states end tanks are made from "marine grade alloy"

Got the quote today to make a one off radiator and A/C condenser. Going with either -16 or -20 (probably -20) AN fittings for the radiator and just a bleeder on the top of each tank. Remote high mounted filler tank will be used for extra capacity of around 8 litres. Electric water pump too. The main problem is while I can go wider than OEM (600mm) to a nice 730mm I needed to cut the drop to 400mm (OEM is around 480mm) Rad consultant says 56mm core will suffice and handle 800hp with 70mm end tanks- all ally. Going to mock up a flow box this weekend to make in ally to house the condenser in front and radiator behind, plus the OEM twin speed fan pushing through the radiator and 2 10" fans pulling behind the condenser. All fans sandwiched between the 2 cores. Nowhere for the air to go but through the radiator, no leaks, just concentrated flow. Should work a treat.....

No not plastic, they are marine grade alloy that have been painted black. He thought it looked good!
If you ever think of buying from ashspec all I'm going to say is do some research on him first on the US forums.

    Cheers,

Been tinkering some more, finally found the broken wiring for the drivers side fog light that has never worked since I landed the Zed here from Japan. I ran a substitute wire from the passenger fog light power wire in the mean time like 8 years!)

Swung by Kabir's place tonight and bought his engine hoist to FINALLY pull my motor out of mine. It's amazing how the months just fly by and before you know it 7 months have gone and all you've done in that time is design some ideas on a whiteboard and pull off strategic parts to make the engine pull easier. Looks like it's all happening again now, just bolted on the engine slingers and have to get a chain to connect between the two hook points and I should have it all out this weekend and sitting on the engine stand.

stunning example you have there. Most only dream to get theirs to that standard 1 day...... while you get it there and go further. Looking forward to the "end?" result.
