Seat's aren't required to be removed for the install. I'd go the same way Baz did.

How'd you run the coax down the side then?

 

Without pulling any seats. Installed it in less than half an hour. about an hour of fiddling around with ideas for the ducky, about 2hrs on where to put the damn unit and 10 mins to install that when I did find a spot.

 

Yep, not much you can't do with a hammer and some super glue

 

Haha! Which I have neither of.
I'm not going to sit here and write a 2 paragraph, step by step guide on how to install the coax without ripping the seats out.

I really hoped there'd be more interest in this, they're such a great unit and definitely worth the cost!

 

i think a lot of people are feeling the pinch lately.
Id be in too , but not for another month unfortunately.

Greg pretty much listed it all in the first post. I leave it on VKR except when I'm on cruises when I get down with the fully sick reception and sound... BOOOOOO to handhelds!

 

Hand helds are poo to begin with. And since having this awesome unit, I'll never look back. I used to enjoy keying up all day every day back in my truck driving days. Which really wasn't that long ago haha.

opened her just then! managed to solder the power in to the clock as someone else said previously. works great. Just need to mount the antenna and the unit and im done... might be a job for tomorrow afternoon...
