Thurs evening m8, but we really need to get some more members on the bandwagon :)

I'll feel lame going to get just one, it is a distributor after all.

Also, depending on whether you want to get creative with your installation, you can get a further 2 metre extension cable for the head unit.
The radio comes with a 2 metre extension, but that may not be enough depending on your desired installation locations

It's $13 for the extra cable

How long is the coax cable? If we're mounting the antenna in the rear I should probably want the right length.

I'd like to know this too. :)

I have mine going from the first fender bolt past the hinge on the bonnet down around the battery down along the back of the eng bay. Through the hole there around and under the dash.

Then down through the centre console to where the base unit is sitting in the space between the glove box compartment and the rear seats (sits nice and snug there). I still have about a foot spare. so there is plenty of cable..

And I got yours this afternoon. :p Don't stress, Greg was fighting traffic to get home so I got yours and you'll get mine.

Did anyone have to wire their plug to the ariel cable? What goes where?
Also, I'm guessing the bracket is a seperate item? I just assumed it came with one to mount the ariel.
Looks like mine won't be goin in before the weekend. :(

I sent him an email to see if I could come pick mine up today but haven't heard back.... I guess I'll have to wait til Saturday.
If you're going to get a bracket for the antenna can you pick one up for me as well? Thanks.

He's been out running around like a chicken with his head cut off.

I'll see if I need a bracket first. Will bring soldering iron and help do yours on Saturday. I've got big rotors to throw on too. :D

Got it tonight :) Thanks Greg! Only problem I'm having too is connecting the coax to the connector supplied... anyone?

to connect the coax to the connector you need to remove the outer sheath of the cable.

You will then see a weave of wire.. once you get that fold it down around the rest so you can see the middle core.. then cut off the the covering that one.

Once you have the middle core wire you need to feed it into the sharp point in the connector(mine goes the intire way down and it is folded back on itself at the end. If you have enough uncovered all you need to do is push it into it untill it doesnt go any further, fold any excess over and bobs your uncle, its connected..

You may want to tape the connector to the rest of the coax if you dont solder it in. but I taped mine anyway just incase..

If you have any trouble and you want it working for the cruise dont stress. get the rest of it in and im sure wherever we meet you we can make sure its all good then..

    Cya all tomorrow. :D
