Hmmm, pics of big front mount turbo not loading

Anyway, I've been doing some intrawebs research on the VG33+ maybe project and something on the oil pump question for you VG30E/T people came up. Which is that apparently the oil pump for a USDM VG30E engined Quest has the Z32 type guts and will bolt up to any VG30E/T. That pump is further identified as the U type, compared with the older V type.

Just saw some pics, you can run 2.5 inch piping with whatever turbo that will fit in the stock location. People reckon Holset HX40 fits with a little bash to the chassis rail.. Screw that though.. Ill put some pics up when i fit the T70.

Aircon wont have alot to do with turbos fitting in the stock location, this will only become an issue when you need to front mount a big T4. In that case you have to ditch the aircon because you need the space.

I'ld prefer an ebay special turbo over a super huge laggy turbo that has no use in a street vehicle or a nissan VG motor.

Yeh man, nothing wrong with them. I've had my To4e for about 2 years and close to 15,000 ks and it doesnt even blow oil from the seals. Thing is when they are made, they dont bother cleaning the insides of the housings and they are full of swarf. Clean all that out and your good to go!

Nah, just give them a clean out. The reason why all the bad stories are floating around is because people just bang them on without pulling them apart.. Its just common sense to inspect any turbo before you put it on isn't it?

Another good thing about these motors is some of the parts are cheap. Saw Clevite valve lifters on US Ebay for ~US$140 a set, they OK?

Anyone sees a good VG33 for sale around Brisbane let me know. I know some importers have them but somtimes a bargain pops up.

Heard of Clevite bearings which are good. Thats not bad for a set of valve lifters, just havn't heard of Clevite making them.

Not when you buy a Garrett! ;)

I've got a set of Clevite lifters, $140 is a very good price. They're usually up around the $200USD mark. I'll also be going with Clevite main and rod bearings aswell...

The above has a couple of VG33's, no price listed though.
