    I put a new fuel pressure regulator, new fuel filter and new battery in. I Hope it hasn't just masked the problem though

    So it worked when push starting, but still wont start with key?
    If this is the case then it may well have been a leak.

    With car off, pump the clutch and see if it gets stiffer.
