What have you done to your Zed today?

Finally got a few mins to myself and pulled the steering cover etc out and disconnected the wire to the key release button so I can actually take my key out when using the turbo timer.

On the to do list is to modify the mirrors to full automatic with the factory switch override as per my previous zed and to modify the key barrel light to come on with the interior light and then time delay off for 20 or 30 seconds to make it easier to find without turning the headlights on.

What have you done to your Zed today?

Haven't driven the TT in over a week so:

1. Started it
2. Let it idle till it reached 70 degrees
3. Cranked up the boost to 14 psi
4. Backed out the driveway
5. Absolutely drove the ass off that thing, sideways through first & second & a nice third gear chirp.
6. Have a BIG grin from ear to ear
7. Now I am satisfied for another week

 

^lol definitely nothing that special. But i sat passenger in ours today. That's about all. No actually did think about all the things i need to do to it... No time

 

Finished and started motor

Apart from belt squeal and loose PTU plug she purrs like a kitten

 

Had my car towed from home to the workshop today. After beer o'clock we got a few things done on it. Made up alloy undertray for front, new front tie rod ends, new rear tie rods, removed centre mufflers, adjusted hand brake.

Tried to take out my underdrive pulley, doing a 100k service.

The amount of force needed to bend that flatbar....

Sheared a few bolts and destroyed two pullers.

Wd-40'd it, I'll have another go in the morning.

 

Binned the HICAS and put in a Z1 lockout bar. It wont be bothering me again.

 

Used a spare insulated P clamp I had laying around to clamp it down.

 

got some stance rims test fitted to the zed to day



there both 40 off set same as i have on my rims now.

there 20inch by 8.5 and 20 by 10.

they fit in nice but just want to know what the biggest tyre i can put on them.
they say a 255 will fit and 275 might be to big. what do u guys think will a 275 fit

Alllmmosst cleared..!

Almost got my defect notice cleared today, it's got the ride height of a 4wd and my nice shiny black tinted tail lights now look a sh&^tty rubbed back dull color and it has a crummy little black standard set of mufflers and tiny exhaust pipes... just need a copy of the EPA noise result and the nice Lady at RTA will clear it straight away... sigh

Sooo up for sale will soon be a pair of Kings Lowered Springs and 3A Racing Mufflers with 3'' tips!
