Mmm loading up that weld in the bent section can't be a good thing. I don't suspect it will break but it does distort the super strong traingular design.

Did either of you guys (or both of you guys) get the bolt on the rod required for fitment?

The one ive got was made from one on a track zed with no issues at all in the last 3 years. So i would like to believe that it works. Plus my zed wont be seeing much track days so the tiny amount of flex isnt a worry for me. Either way, this is the better design and it still keeps the triangular shape in a way.

except that that flex defeats the purpose of them. why is it "the better design" again? I must be missing something.
Nup, I'll manage. They cleaned up very nicely though, rust all gone now.

I'm curious what makes it the better design? From what I can see it is less rigid than the original Nagissa design (which fits perfectly so I fail to see where an improvement can be made?) and thereby compromises the function? But please enlighten me?

And last I checked a triangle (which is the strongest geometric shape http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tensegrity) has three sides not four!

Hehe good luck with that :D nutsert might be a winner. Fender looks a bit thin to tap but I'm sure you'll work something out

I'm just going to tape a nut to the end of a coat hanger, job done... Can't see a need to remove them later

Cool cool -surprised you're not just going to drill two holes and cable tie it in!! You can get cable ties in stainless -that should hold :p

Well I'm obviously going to secure that nut further with cable ties. I'm having some trouble getting my new wheel studs in, figured I'd use cable ties there as well.

The Pexmod is very soon on my agenda as well.

Fitted and calibrated the Racelogic traction control today. Yet to mount the control unit properly but I'll play with that tomorrow. Very impressed with the unit so far :D

It wasn't fun... In the end I pulled the intake pipes (so as I could rotate the fusebox toward the intake pipes giving better access to the underside of the relay), popped the relay out of the fusebox and had one pair of hands holding everything out of the way and another pair of hands doing the soldering. God help me if that sucker breaks....

But totally worth it. Mick has another way of achieving the same goal earthing the ballast straight to the body. It's not a bad idea but I like that the pexmod is a "one time" mod and doesn't add any clutter to the engine bay.

New fuel filter and failed at fitting UAS strut brace. Fouls on fuel lines :(

Ozphoto- if funds permit, get a good pair of late model headlights. Personally sourced a pair from mmarshall, from a '97 front cut. A bit costly, but comparison to the HID's fitted to my 2+2..... well there is no comparison really.

New Driving light lenses are surprisingly cheap from Coz, but if you want to retain your parkers in them, you have to change over the reflector base. Again, at least twice as good as HID's fitted with old lenses.

Perform alternate suggestion to the pexmod, and what you would have spent at the Auto Electrician will cover a perfect set of replacement headlights :D

you simply have to take them off and feed them through the base of the brace. fitted one a fortnight ago.
