I stayed at the Loxton Caravan Park in their cabins 15 or 20 years ago, they were quite nice then...

Well I am in the throws of finding out a little more info, we are still going to go, but not sure if we will stay at the caravan park or the hotel...more than likely the hotel, looks like there is enough parking..

Well I'm right to go provided there's a few of us going, I don't really wanna drive 7 hours if there's only a couple of us going (but you never know I might change my mind)..plus I just gotta see about Craig trying to get work off...

So far I'm undecided. It will all depend on finances and those other events RZM mentioned. Also Sam is becoming a bit of a problem to find babysitters for. Time will tell, have to wait for it to get closer.

According to the email we got back from the organisers the show and shine and the dinner will be held at the Sporting ground which is located at F3 in the linked map.

Jen called the hotel but accomodation might be an issue with two other large events on in the town that weekend. Since we are towing our car I may need to put the extra seats back in the Patrol so we can act as a "bus" since one suggestion is to stay at Berri like normal and just commute to Loxton for the events.

    I'm keen for that....

I really like the accommodation at Berri and since the hotel is booked out with another function who are not "car enthusiasts", they may not appreciate us noisy zedders..:) Let alone you with your massive trailer..:)

So the dinner is at the sporting ground as well??

I'll be heading up there on the Friday night after work, should be sweet. Staying at the caravan park in a tent. Russell Coight roadtrip here we come :p

    red32 You talkin' to me?

    Berri Riversdie Caravan Park FTW!

From what i've been able to find via the inter-mega-google-net, the accommodation in Loxton is fairly limited. Maybe Berri would be the go!

As above, Berri is looking good!

I think I will book into Berri, and commute!

I've got 10 days of tenting coming up next year for zedfest so I should probably get used to it.

Strange that there is another event on at the same time as the show..you think they would have just stuck to having it at Berri as usual wouldn't you:confused:

Well I have made some more investigations thismorning about accommodation to find out that there are approx 4 budget cabins left at Loxton Caravan Park. They are $50pn a couple, bring your own linen (or hire for extra), no ensuite, but a 50 pace walk to the loo block....Just my thoughts at the moment, but we will probably stay in Berri, given that the G's are arriving on Friday arvo/evening from Adelaide and are staying in Loxton (their accommodation was booked for them) and that they are leaving to go home on the Sunday. We plan to travel up on the Thursday, I think that is correct and come home on the Monday, so a 4 night stay for us. I will give Berri C/Park a call later today...

    our plans

Jen, yes, I think Berri is sounding like the better option..... at least the cabins in Berri come supplied with a bathroom and linen..:) We will head up on the thursday as well, but I think we'll be leaving sunday morning rather than monday. I may have missed it, but is there anything organised for the sunday (ie, drags?? dyno?)???

  18. red32

    red32 You talkin' to me?

    Yes, you missed it! :rolleyes2:
There's a cruise from Loxton on Sunday morning followed by a BBQ lunch. No drags or dyno, but a band at the S'n'S (as last year).

    well at this stage...

i believe I'll be having my own cruise on sunday starting at Loxton and finishing in Melb..:p. Just dont have enough leave saved up, so need to be back at work on the monday.

Well I have just booked us in at Berri, it is only 20 mins away from Loxton and the accommodation is abundant...We will still stay until Monday cos if we don't go on the cruise on the sunday, we will go winery tasting, or maybe even do this if they are open on the Friday! I wanted to go to Banrock Station Winery...Yumm. Salina Estate is on the way to Loxton...Hmmm this could be a nice weekend for tasting!
