Well, clutch looks to be ok......starter does not though. Starter was jammed against the flywheel and it looks like something has given it quite a whack.

Clutch/Flywheel seem to be fine though? Looks like something has ground against the bolt....

On a positive note some goodies arrived today! :D

Clutch slip plus a mysterious bit of shrapnel I'm going to guess the pressure plate lost a few fingers.

yep, bolts or fingers have come loose

Im going to get a magnet to see if i can fish anything out. When driving it i would get a loud metal clank after backing off but only after being on boost. No slip, no noise under load but right as i back off it clunks.

Have some of the bottom of the gearbox that i took with a friends snapon borescope. Quite a few chunks down there from whatever has come loose. Actual clutch fingers look to be ok, going to pull the gearbox off in the next week or two and change the clutch.

Another f1 stage 3 is on its way and from waht ive heard the BDE rails shouldnt be too far off either. So im hoping my e85 adventure starts soon :-D

May inject a bit of water pre turbo to see what i can get the little huffers to pump out.

Well, the company i previously sourced my F1 clutches through won't have any stock for the next few months so i gave Jim Berry a call, told me that he's moving so he won't be able to do anything for a month and a half atleast :( . Oh well, seems i'll have to wait to get it back on the road.

Going to send Jim my current clutch/flywheel combo and see what can be done when he's ready.

All im going to say is competition clutches are bloody useless. I ordered a clutch from them a good week ago and still nothing, i would have gotten something from bloody overseas quicker than this. I bought from them since i couldnt wait a month and a half for jim to make one for me but i should have just waited.

Car has sat for about 3 weeks, went and turned it on today and she started up first crank. I was going to send it off to get painted while its sitting but then i had a better thought to get a nitrous system sorted out for it. Probably won't buy it for a month or so as i don't know when the rest of the bits will arrive but i have decided on a Wizards of Nos SB150i2 kit, solenoids have lifetime warranty and never need servicing....plus they can be pulsed and other brands can't(they can but not very well).

Depending on how things go with my new engine, my current one may become a sacrificial lamb so to speak, so if it goes to plan i'll cram a 150 shot down its throat for the drags.

Same here, can't wait to see what the zed can pull off with it. On another note i just bought some underdrive pulleys for it, always had them on the NA motor and thought why not get some for the TT :p

Zeds booked in to get the clutch replaced on tuesday, so hoping all goes well. I'd like to do the work myself but working 6pm-4am can really kill any hope of doing things yourself :p

You going TT flywheel or do they make that one to suit NAs? Don't think you'll be able to stress that one with the little turbos

    SRB-2NV #TEAMROB

It should be fine, it has a higher clamp load than the F1 and the F1 never slipped even at 18PSI. Its still an NA sized clutch but its to "suit R32/R33 GTSt". For the record, R32/R33 GTSt clutches are exactly the same as an NA Z32, except they are cheaper.

It will be fine for the standard turbos and a small hit of gas, when the new motor is close to completion i will send this clutch/flywheel combo to Jim Berry for a "full monty" upgrade(4400lb pressure plate).

That's good to know, no reason to change flywheels and modify the bellhousing when going NA to TT then.

Pretty much, when talking off the shelf single plates you can get GTSt clutches rated to a higher clamp load than aftermarket Z32 TT clutches anyway

Zeds at UAS now getting the clutch done, i showed John some pictures of the damage and he thinks the pivot ball may have snapped. Should be finished by tomorrow afternoon.....and my BDE gear has arrived, picking it all up on saturday. E85 is around the corner! :D

big injectors, e85? how much power can you push the stock set up to ? 260rwkw on e85?

ill be very interested to see how it goes and what times u can get out of it. especially with nitrous. high 11s ?

11.6 no nitrous. Stock dump pipes and front pipes but gutted cats. I miss it. I am 100% sure you could get 10.8 10.7 with a solid nitrous pass. I did 11.2 with a tiny shot shitty pass

I trapped 118 without gas and 125 with gas

He will be using quite a bit of those injectors on stock turbos

Im hoping it can crack an 11 on boost alone but we'll see, its a 5spd not an auto so I've got to be on the ball not just the car. Planning to do a plenum pull and install the injectors + tune within the next few weeks. Should pickup a bit of power with another 6psi and 8 degrees of timing :)

On another note i got the car back a few days ago, love being able to shift quickly. Tyres hate it but damn its good fun. The NA rear end livens things up a lot. Really want to take it to the drags but i really need some et streets to hook properly.
