Group buy from coz would be the cheapest way to do it. I wouldn't have one though!

Rob doesn't like any wings as far as I know, just ugly bonnets :)

More like Rob has taste and wouldn't put an ugly wing like that on his Zed!

Sorry Ryan, when it comes to Z32's I prefer quality over quantity

I was just thinking how that wing would match a certain bonnet in my garage...

do you think they might look better with the black strip from the oem wing?

they arent the ugliest thing i've seen designed for the Z

They're being supplied with a black strip sticker now actually due to popular demand. I'm looking at cutting mine out for a full size infill.

jesus Anti,,, I told myself I would read your whole thread again before making more comments, but I just couldnt do it. I got to comment 400 then had to pull the pin.. I'm exhausted, need to go lay down for a while...

any news on if you can get them pictures back up? would be worth reading through again with them, too much missed out on without the pics.

Definately need to be up for most informative thread on the forum, but then again i havent gone through most of the build threads.

heres my comments up to post 400

so sorry if you mention this later, how did you go with pod filter selection?
im thinking of a mushroom filter which is not anywhere near as deep as a pod filter. or are you still running oem air box?

they sir are oem spot welds,,, the machine would be a free moving type and the user would just run a few spots along at random intervals, which is why it would be different from z to z

    weight saving!

    two comments up ^^

Agreed, black is sex, and would be good to see a proper built high gloss mirror finish black Z, would cost you more than 3.5 k though

Does look a lot better than the oem gunmetal grey, would be more metalic being a later model colour too... but seriously, go black, and put in a grey pearl over the top to give it more depth if you really want grey

I like,, need to see pics though, but they look a tad unfinished just being body colour.

now i've spent the last 2 hours reading and commenting,, I need a Nap!!

    Good Work...
    get them pics sorted asap!!!

    Edit:
btw, thanks for the link about camber wear...
I always thought camber was a killer, so i'll make sure i get the toe in right when i get the wheel allignment done when i get the 19's put on and coilovers checked...

I've started doing that with the guides on wire tucking, around page 23+. Those are the most important parts I figure, once they're done I'll get stuck into the rest.
I fitted a HKS piggy back ECU, a MAP to MAF translator - it basically measures the pressure in the intake manifold, converts that to an AFM voltage and tells the ECU that's what's being sucked in. After that I fitted two pod filters coming off the turbos, underneath the headlights.

A single mushroom would work fine, or just point the pod down somehow.
I had a "moment of clarity" some time ago when a gun metal Aus spec overtook me in Wahroongah. On the spot, I changed my plans of black + 2k spec front to grey with NA front. Haven't faltered yet, and I won't be.

It does have quite a bit of metallic, a bit more than I'd like maybe but it's what gives the colour that amazing effect when the sun rolls off of it. It just evolves...

Looks pretty black at night as well, which is a plus.
Thanks dude. It's great to think people take the time to go all the way through this epic.
It's a common misconception. Rather than make a thread about it which'll simply evolve into a shit fight about hellaflushness, I'd rather just advertise it in my signature.
Thanks for the pics. "the dogs"... this is a new term to me! What is?

more tyre size dilemma's... I have a set of Powertrix Road/Track coilovers on their way to me as we speak and with them and a pair of UAS pivoting FUCA's I'm looking to go lower on the front.

the plan is to match the fit on the rear. unfortunately with my fat (40 profile) tyres on the front if I tuck any more I pretty much lose my ability to turn without crapping my fenders.

these are some of the options I'm comparing at the moment... stock is far left, my rears (perfect already) far right and what I have currently second from the left. 245/35 looking to be a pretty good bet - sidewall height is 8mm shorter than the 235/40's while being another 10mm wider. that, combined as much caster as I can fit should do the trick. if not, I have no problem dialing in the camber on the UAS arms. up to 4* I'd be happy with.

here's a bad photo of the current front fit:

With a slightly shorter sidewall I'll be able to go a bit lower on the front, and how low I can go at the front dictates the tuck at the rear (no rake thanks). I'm looking at the moment at a pair of KU31's which can be had for ~$360 or so from the right place, alternatively Federal 595 semi slicks can be picked up for $210 a corner. I'm only rocking shitter tyres at the moment, picked up second hand with the intention to destroy while I figured out my fitment. it'll be good to get some decent front traction.

    thought/inputs welcome
