The vents on the battery are rectangular so you may have a hard time fitting a line... But you might be able to find a suitable fitting somewhere. You could pass a tube through existing vents but putting a grommet in the floor would be neat and easy.
I'll figure it out. If there's no appropriate fitting on the battery it shouldn't be too much trouble to sikaflex some form of plastic/rubber bracket of some sort, connect that to a line and run it out the side of the boot. No sense in drilling a hole when it's literally right next to a vent.
How accessible is the underside of the boot? Nope, half stock half aftermarket to suit a FMIC, 2". Would be a waste of money with my tiny turbos.
It's easy mate just find a spot and drill the hole. Use a piece of steel underneath between the two supports and when bolted down she ain't moving. Sikaflex is a bad idea.
I was planning on sika'ing up some chute/line to the vent on the battery to externally vent it, not to attach the mounting bracket on the car.
Super interested to see this on the car. Big fan of brazillians but this wing is... well it isnt safe for work really.
On the weekend is the plan, but its forecast to be 40*C or something stupid like that. No garage at my new place and a cooked Anti is an unhappy Anti. The brazilan has really grown on me and looks tops on a stumpy two seater, but I still hate it on a four seater. It looks good from some angles but from others it's just a terrible body line. When the WINFactory lip photos bit the press my buddy immediately said "that's exactly what the Zed needs", and he was right. Up 'til then I was going to import an EC-1, but always thought it was a bit aggressive for the image I'm building. Psyched!
youwillrespectmy_drivenauthority WINFactory wing arrived on Thursday. I was over the moon, having waited for more than three months for it to get to my door. It was only sent last week, the rest of the time was made up by back-and-forth emails, mostly forth without reply, to Driven Authority about what in the hell was going on with it. A broken mold and what I can only presume is great disorganisation on their behalf meant that a lot of the time I had no idea what was going on. when they did reply they were nice though. they seem to be on top of it now which is great. they've also shipped off a bunch to Coz @ CZP, who is selling them internationally now. that's what I get for paying three months before everyone else; having it at the exact same time everybody else can. it looks a million bucks. the wing is completely smoothed and finished in black. the fit is perfect on the driver's side but the passenger side will definitely require trimming. pushed down against the side of the hatch the lower edge projects a further 5mm or so but hey it's glass so what do you expect. just what my zed needed. -A
Looks well smart, have you given the 3rd brake light option more thought? I think it needs it personally, the top of the lights and centre panel are to straight to suit a car like this
Thanks for the feedback. I'll be cutting the back of the wing out for an infill. The only question is if I mould it in.
What more information would you like on the fit? I'll get some happy snaps of the aftermarket brake light and the inside of it - it actually bolts on through the TBL area.
