so after disassembling the auto turbos to transfer onto the new hi-flowed manual ones, i found that the drivers side, had seized :O !!

completely stuck fast, so it was very lucky i decided to change turbos and check all components. also have a few pics to upload later on a few hoses i need clarification with..

aside from that, the hi-flowed turbos are on, will add pics tomorrow.

Since the motor is out it will be easier to delete those clutch fluid hard lines Rod (green arrows) & go with a UAS 1 piece clutch line costs $120. From clutch master straight to slave cylinder, engine bay will look cleaner.

yeah i was planning on deleting alot more, made progress today (complete loom for the interior and some more stripping of parts, will add pics.

nigel, know much about them? that hard line, is it just a bleeder for the clutch?
havent looked into it..so i delete the hard lines, and add that UAS 1 peice from master to slave?

Yep pretty much, makes it alot and I mean alot easier to bleed and I noticed noticed hear changes are alot smoother as well.
You could probally make one up yourself seeing as your zed ain't going anywhere too quick, but I just bought mine at the time as I needed it asap.

your confused, the UAS 1 piece clutch line doesn't replace that hardline. The clutch master is next to the brake master on the firewall & the slave cylinder is down hanging off the gearbox. The 1 piece clutch line replaces the various little hard lines & hoses that run down between the two, doesn't go anywhere near the drivers side fender.

Cars looking great Mr zed x, hope to be doing the same thing eventually.
& yes that hardline running along the drivers side fender is one of the bleed points for the clutch.

    cheers, Tim

bah, if only there was a thanks button here :(

something to defiantly get. anything that minimizes crap in the bay, and add reliability i will be getting, this is one. so this UAS line, goes from master (on firewall) to slave (gearbox)
and removes the hard lines inbetween?

also getting back to the bleed point on the fender, would it be a stupid move to block this off and delete it, or is there something else i can use to reroute it etc?

thanks alot tim :) your's is too as always, (damn cherry red gets me everytime :( )
only advice i'd give? get a halfcut. soooo much less stuffing around haha.

Lidz, I'm not confused at all. I never said the UAS clutch line goes anywhere near the drivers side fender, I was just telling Rod with the pics what he can remove if he uses the UAS clutch line.

I have a UAS clutch line myself Rod, yep correct just delete the hard lines and use the UAS 1 piece clutch line from master to slave. Alot easier to bleed aswell. It will be alot easier for you to remove since engine & all is out. I removed it with motor in, was alot harder as I had to cut those hard lines into smaller bits to take it all out.

hmmm, ok appologies, but how does replacing the lines between master & slave result in being able to remove the fender located bleed point? Surely it could just be binned regardless as its a different line? Do you need to cap something off, if so what did you use? Geniunely interested here as I wouldn't mind getting rid of mine.

Either way Rod definately grab the 1 piece master to slave if you can fit it in the budget, with the ages of our zeds its a case of when not if you get a leak there.
Personally mine blew in the middle of summer, in the middle of punt road, in the right hand lane in the middle of peak hour. Ah, fun times...

    cheers, tim

This pic will show the junction box where the fender located bleed point hard line branches out of. Nothing needs to be capped off as using the UAS 1 piece clutch line will remove all of these lines in one go.

    mr zed x chassis scrubbin..

so the UAS one piece one removes the junction box to?
will delete that clutch line tomorrow if thats the case! but how do you bleed the clutch then haha?

will definitely be buying the UAS line.

Join the master cylinder to slave with the braided hose. Crack the nipple on the slave and fill at the master cylinder till fluid starts to come out at the bottom.
Close up the slave bleed niple and bleed at the master cylinder.....something along those lines...im sure someone else will help you out.

Ah thats were I was confused, mine was a custom fix (lindsay at z shop hung round till 8 at night knocking it together after my earlier mentioned issues on punt rd during peak hour, champ!) & hasn't eliminated the junction box.
Will have to have a bit of a poke around on the weekend.

    thanks.

oh mine will be a good 12 months off at least I'd say, works almost non existant at the moment in the auto design field so got to score myself a proper job again (currently s@*t kicking round factories) then get a 'fighting fund' going & start looking for a half cut. oh & at some point convince the missus the money is better going into the zed than another house...

More than happy to just keep watching your thread mate for the time being, think you should set yourself a solid goal (like being ready for gor), buy some new shinny bits & get at it! Your making awesome progress as is!

    cheers, Tim
