Trouble is they'll be even older by then and even harder to find a good one.
R34 is probably easier on the pocket but can't compare to the feel of riding in you own Z.

GT-T will be good, but you'll always be a cheap fark as you didnt get the GTR.

go the 300 if you can be eff'd with the work/time/money invested.

The r34 i drove was a LOT more modern feeling. Better dash, seats, seating position. Styling, (compared to my car). Better handling, but had expensive coilovers (4-5k work 3 way adjustable).

You have a BOOOT!. I will never get a coupe again. It had less road noise. And is generally cheaper to run and own.

Zeds are nice and all but they are showing their age in the trim and seals.
And they are not cheap to replace for all the door seals and targa seals and weather seal your looking at close to 2k.

I love my targa's but how often do you drive with them off.

The r34 is far more rigid.

If i could do it all over again i would get a 34. But at the time i didnt think i could afford one, i was wrong. Its almost like i cant afford to not have one.

I cant really say the money is 'invested' you done see any return, only a loss.

agreed once the honeymoon period is over, you realise it's just a old car that's starting to need more attention everywhere because every part is wearing out slowly.

still, i bought this car for the targas so i make use of them as often as i can. probably 1-2 times a week.

days like this monday when it was 44 outside, it pained me to leave my zed parked outside in the work parking lot. i know it's killing all the rubbers, being a targas there's a bloody lot of rubbers which keep the weather out and loosening all the plastics and vinyls from their original place.

sorta why i still haven't bothered changing my lifting dash. wtf is the point, if i did it'll just get ruined again. besides, there's the ever looming threat of the heater core leaking even when they're babied and garaged like JEDI's car. might as well just wait until that happens to change the dash.

i do still love my zed since i get attached to things pretty easily and she's stuck with me for almost 5 years without any major issues. if i had to do it all again, fixing all the little problems only to discover new ones coming out due to old age, there's no chance in hell i'd do it willingly with another zed.

being a zed owners brings you down to earth real quick about owning a old import. it needs more attention than others, parts are expensive and so realistically we're just being honest about it. if you've got the motivation and cash, then start considering zed ownership and find one as new as you can.

Lol! I love my Z and I'll be getting another one some day too, but it will be an upgrade, not a 300 :p

I was thinking that. I can't believe I'm pretty much the only 1 to say GO FOR THE ZED in this thread.

    Is this opposite day?

Did i log into Skylines Australia by mistake?

I'm going to get a 2 seater TT heck in 2yrs or so even the good ones will be 3k and a 350z as they're coming down in price on the 2nd hand market. Don't sell the 300 tho.

Its just their time of the month mate. :D
Oh and Ugame that pic of your zed from the recent cruise looks awesome!

Chin up fellas, pandora isn't worth it.

I think the worst part is that the other import people think the 300 is crap. Its a strange thing to say but you wouldnt really get that with a 34.

I dont think im going to get a paint job and fix the interior up. The suspension and engine is A1 (because i replaced it all) but its hard to find the money to spend any more cash because i cant see the point.

Although if u had a 2 seater and the gearbox was is good condition i would in a heartbeat. But i just dont like 2+2's anymore. And i cant justify the cash getting a two seater. So thats just about it for me. A lot of my regret is not doing things right in the first place. More to the point not knowing whats right and whats not.

Should have went bigger turbos or kept the 2.5" exhaust with hiflow turbos, should have kept the auto, should have got a 2 seater, shouldnt have gotten the big brakes, should have just rebuilt the driveshaft. Should have kept my 17's.

I could have seen my self being 10k better off in the pocket to spend on different parts of the car. Like trim and paint.

Shouldnt have gotten the spare car.

    Well you get my drift.
I guess you learn from your mistakes.

Maby im just in a bad mood because i cant use my thumb for 3 months. :( And cant work on my car.
Or im just afraid of spending money and it turs out like crap.

lol 3k in 2 years for a good zed? what have you been smoking?

also with the whole buying another one, i've seen a lot of people come through the forums and claim they will own 2 eventually and how they'll never sell etc. not convinced quite frankly, let's see what your tone is in 2 more years.

that doesn't bother me at all. i quite like having something other people don't like. makes it less common and you see less idiots in them.

I'm already on my 2nd zed. I bought my good TT for 9k in two years it'll be 22yrs old so who knows. 3k is an exaggeration but its done so to get my point across. ;)

I know but you didn't own them alongside each other. You've had the NA for what, 9 months? TT for 9 months, already 1 blown gearbox during this period?

No offence intended of course, I'm just getting my point across too. 9 months per zed is hardly any time for many problems to develop and already the TT blew the box. Once you've owned the same one long enough, being auto on your 3rd or something gearbox or second something engine pull thanks to turbo seals letting go, then you might not necessarily feel the same way you do now.

If you do then full credit to you, I'll be the first to pat you on the back for being a 'true' enthusiast but until then, what's wrong with us giving the OP our opinion on the car?

Oh dear, are there any z32 owners who work in sales for a living, because the vast majority i think would fail at it quite badly. Glass half full people!!
