I hope you're right but somehow I just can't see it happening. I'd part with mine for the right price.
Decent zeds still go for decent prices in Japan... Well on yahoo at least... A good one is becoming quite expensive to import.
that might have more to do with the cost of renewing shaken (bi yearly checks) on the things. old nissans in particular as we all know are a real bitch to maintain. anything well used is simply too expensive to get back up to spec and they're not worth much. R32 GTRs in particular demand a high premium over here. i was surprised at how expensive they are to buy but most of them overall are much better maintained than aussie equivalents. '07 R35s are coming down hard in price and most mint R34s are similarly priced.
Z32's are the most undervalued of all Jap Cars... looking at Unique Auto magazine ANYTHING Jap is more expensive. Looking at Supras, R32GTR's, RX7S, GTO's etc... Even 944 Porches are far more expensive than the Z32. Silvias are more expensive even. WT@??? Yet, nothing has the history, or the suceess of the Z32. I don't know what is going on TBO. Also, the majority of the Z32s advertised have some type of rice on them. Not as factory. I suspect this would affect resale price. Something is not right here. I think this forum is also driving prices down by knocking anything that is worth more than 50c. As forum members if we keep doing this, we might as well torch our Zs now. I also love comments like, my Z32 is only worth 1/8 of the next door neighbours crapadore so I can drive it like it's stolen and don't care.... But what is not realised is: - People who have a well maintained Z would have spent probably as much as 2-3x the value of a crapadore. - To actually maintain a Z32 in good condition is bloody expensive - come engine rebuild time, this will cost more than the next doors car value. Especially as these get older and good second hand motors will be far and few in between. How much is it just to recondition the heads again?? Peter
