I've never had any of the "issues" that they stated nor have any of the other ZX owners that I know personally..... Skylines..... great motor, easy to work on, but 'sexy'..... unfortunately a word they'll never be ! :zlove:

I see the same shit on here about other cars . Its just a case of my car is better than yours. Its human nature to think what you have is the best and better than the rest. Did anyone say V-TEC. So if your worried what others think ride a bike:thumbup:
I probably shouldn't have even bothered to reply to that thread in the first place, but the little time I spend on SAU is usually in the vic section and when I read all the replies from these SAU people who think they're experts on the 300zx I just felt that I had to reply. Also, lol at the guy who says "the engine bay is cramped which makes changing the pod filter difficult" hmmmm....maybe it's because the pod isn't in the engine bay? and also the guy who ran out of petrol and calls the 300zx unreliable...
Wonder how ak feels about them posting pics of his car(along with reports of him competing 100% successfully in "underground" Street Racing)?:nono::lame:
I thought most of the posts weren't too bad. Engine bay IS a pain Heaps of jobs DO require engine out Overheating im finding isn't true though, even with a huge mofo intercooler infront of the rad lol. But for the most part seemed like ok advice in the first few posts. Just got ugly when people tried to defend them, as thats when all the Skyline fanboys with ZERO zed knowledge jumped into the fight.

well i read the replies, and 80% of what they said is correct 1) zed is a bad first car 2) that cost more than any other nissan import to fix,(yes even gtr ) 3) they do have over heating problems (sorry dont deny it ) 4) engine bay is very tight 5) can be a massive money pit, skyline is far easier to drive/better first car 6) the guys a trippe about handeling (just a basic skyline wanker ) 7) the zed uses HEAPS of fuel, and you cant say no cause i got a fresh motor and if i give it stick you dont even get 400km out of the tank over there was some truth there, but not sure about that guy talkin about the auto tt transmission problem

under 400km a tank? man i can get from sydney to scone (365km) on jusy over half a tank in my z which is running extremly rich. As for being more expensive for parts compared to a skyline that maybe true comparing it to a gtst but not a gtr, i thought that as well but looking around at parts to mod my gtr and everything costs about the same as it would for the z
