Def his fault, but unless he owns up how do you provide evidence it was his? unfortunately his name isn't on the tape measure either.

He turned around and came to see the damage he caused but didn't have the decency to own up. must've thought as i drive a Zed i have plenty of coin..

 

His name may not be but Ill bet his fingerprints are still all over it tho! Might be worth having a chat to the sherriff perhaps.
Could be what you need to get his gutless arse over the line. Fairly large fines for insecure loads... AND he knows it. is why hes denying its his.
Imagine if you were in a vert and the tape measure made its way over the screen and readjusted the shape of your forehead..............

I second seeing the police. They can easily say the tape measure is his beyond reasonable doubt. Dont just roll over for pos clowns like that man.

 

Have installed new coilpack connectors, new injector connectors, replaced every fuse with the electrics kit I got from black baz, serviced, new battery replaced damaged front left and right fenders and about to fit an after market front bumper.

if it went through the screen it would've smashed my mates face in. was headed straight at him. I will give the cops a call and see what they say, still have the tape in the car.

 

Changed over my OEM FUCA with a spare pair I had. No more slop

 

Compression tested the engine to make sure all is fine before embarking on yet another 100K service. Totally stuffed up my first attempt this morning that had me worried I was in for a new engine. Did the test properly this afternoon and found all is well.

 

Started the major service on the new engine yesterday(Big thanks to Rob260 for the help). Picked up a SARD FPR and a GReddy Profec B EBC today.

Sold a space saver wheel & discovered I've got more spares than thought!



And found a 'soft-opener' & fitted it to the cheap ebay '97 (someone at Nissan must have decided they could save $1 per Z by deleting these on the later models)

 

I have a 2+2 NA manual, slick top TT manual, a VE SS auto and a supercharged 6 VY commodore. At 11psi, the TT is on par with the stock SS. The NA has no idea which way the other 2 went. It is however much quicker than my super6 VY.

 

Modified the Indicator Stork so I can see the Water Injection status lights.



Fitted a Power on/off button.

 

Fitted new engine harness and mounted avcr sensors.

 

Front Bar mods...

Started stage 2 of my Front Bar cosmetic mods....

Extended the rubberised paint to get ready for the front splitter and added some wind vanes made from 3mm perspex.
Tomorrow I'll clean them up after the glue has dried then spray them to match.

Started it for the first time with donor engine, new turbos, twin MAF and nismo 740cc's. Yay!

I was driving my SS with a mate following me in my TT slickly, a little spirited driving out of a round about from both of us and some pretty lights came on behind the zed. Mate pulls over and I do a u turn and pull over as well knowing it has quite a few defects and didn't want him wearing it. Ended driving off 10 minutes later having sold the car to the cop, lol. Drove it to the station, pulled the plates off, he handed over a wad of cash and we drove home thinking, f**k, did that really just happen? Lol, best traffic stop ever.

 

So remind us what your old Zed looks like.
