IMO, as long as someone has a Nistune'd ecu and is willing to loan it, everyone can win.

Stock ecu'd car swaps nistune'd ect into it. Tuner does his thing. Rip tune to laptop. Repeat.

Gather tunes. Buy chips/sockets. Socket ecu's, burn chips, install.

I wouldnt say its better or worse, just less muching around and easier for the tuner.

You pretty much have control over everything the stock ecu does. Resolution in maps is able to be modified to suit.

    Exactly same.

But some tuning shop do not have emulator so some shop can not retune remapped ecu.
When I started nissan ecu tune , it is able to tune only 2 people in Sydney include me.

Can't change the resolution Mikey, fixed at 16x16, but you can extend the TP scale to allow for higher load (more power).

Ok, resolution is the wrong term... Scale yes.

thanx guys, so this tp scale thing not sure what that is but is that the only thing that is better in the nisstune than remap and what does it gain ? (talking for the end user/car not the tuner)

You can expand the TP scale with a remap. Nistune is just a easy way of doing it. You plug your conzult cable in and you can directly change any setting you like, you don't have to pull the ecu out, burn a new chip etc. From a software functionality point of view Nistune doesn't offer any more than a remap. The Nistune software is very nice compared to a lot of other options out there.

NISTUNE is a type of remap so nistune and remap are basically same thing.
Basically, the difference is where the chip is.
For Nistune, the data of the chip is integrated in the board itself.
For remap, the chip's data is transferred from an external source into the chip.

The performance is the same. The reason why Nistune is more expensive is because the board itself is expensive, hence cost price is higher than remapping.

I hope this has cleared some of the confusion.

OK, Toshi is thinking 24/25/26 of June.

$100 deposit (in case you cancel - covers his costs)
    Nistune $450 , Chip Tune $500

I'm good for 25 June (Sat)

Let me know asap if you're in.
