I do realize your response beforehand about it being a UAS mould was about the GREDDY Bar and some members thought you were talking about the BOMEX bar Romonski ordered.

Sorry about inadvertently starting that confusion.

I do still see this whole thread as a bad an unexpected experience.
    I fully understand Romonski's concerns, I however will give UAS the benefit of the doubt;
    "Shit Happens"
    "What's done is done"
"Let's learn from this, fix the situation and move on."

FFS people!!! are you really going to crucify UAS for doing what every business does in one way or another?? If a business had the capability to manufacture, design, fit EVERYTHING they sell it would
    A) have prices that were astronomically high, high overheads and would very quickly disappear off the face of the earth.
    B) design and manufacture everything in china out of rubbish material that would fail on the first bump in the road.

The reality is UAS manufacture and design in Australia with quality material and skilled labour regardless of if it's a copy. Making copies still requires reverse engineering and more often than not improving the product.

Realistically if it weren't for UAS the majority of cars on here would be at the scrap yard or stock as a rock with no replacement parts (before the international sellers who did you turn to)Its easy to forget the ones that help us all the most.

http://www.300zx.com.au/pricelists/Fuel System/uas_fuel_pump.jpg most people do sell this as a walbro fuel pump , they call it a uas fuel pump though . Also a friend of mine got a boot lid off them and it arrived very well packed but with the corner broken off , the corner wasnt in the box so obviously it was like that when they packed it but they said its not there problem .

    THIS IS REDICULOUS...

1; you have a reason to be anoyed at the damage on your item and im sure if you contacted JP and UAS directly immediately they would have been reasonable.

2; you are going after a business that otherwise is a very big help to the ZX community in australia for doing what another business can and will do...

3; i personally have used and dealt with UAS on a few occasions, one of which involved my engine coming out and being partly pulled appart etc.. and i got the car back working fine in very good condition... ?

Your actions should have started and ended with contacting the supplier ASAP and if then treated horribly or palmed off then proceed if you saw fit to 'blam' it on a public forum

    Here Here!

I cant think of another business owner that puts as much back into the car community (ours included) than UAS. We have all profited from their profits. That place has invested a huge amount back to the zeds and all of us here whether we had any dealings with them or not have benefited from their knowledge base. :zlove::zlove:

So the conversation from today with john went as follows.

No where. He said that i attacked him personally to which i responded "on a forum, i intend to let others know my problems so they dont come across the same situation".I told him that it was packaged poorly to which he responded "it cant be bubble wrapped due to toll needing to view the item" which is absolute bullshit as my work gets items through toll ipec which are bubble wrapped and boxed WITH NO RIPS OR HOLES. He also asked me what i wanted for my problem, i said "the difference in price to carmates pricing" (which is about 200) which didnt go down well with him because i "slandered" his company. He basically said that due to my rant on here that he would not help me out with the problem. Moral of the story, dont expect quality products from UAS ;)

    end of rant.

lol ... the Defender of the Indefensible battles on against all odds ... it would seem however that judgement has been markedly affected by a bad case of "Egg all over the face" (see Infraction thread).

the constant and irrelevant alcohol references also indicates that his grog cupboard has been locked and that the Valium and warm milk prescription has not really helped with inherent withdrawal issues ...

in terms of the thread, the sad reality is that if one wanted a crappy Carmate bar, one would not go to UAS ... the seller, UAS, was well aware of the reputation of Carmate and made no effort to disclose he was flogging a Carmate product nor that UAS was a mere middleman passing on an order .... !!!!

simple, indisputable facts that no amount of sugar coating will make right.

surely the moral is to ring UAS first before slandering them on a public forum & giving them a chance to fix the issue...

My twinz bar was damaged on arrival, I rang John & he & Jane were hugely helpful. Result? I got two quotes for repairs & they fixed the issue as quick as they could. Jane even spent 2 months chasing the shipping company for a refund as they lost the diffuser fins & delivered it to the wrong address without a signature.

    How about another moral

Try to sort out your problems in private before publically bashing them on a public forum if you want an outcome more desirable to you

From what you just said he still offered you some compensation (despite your public bashing of him and his company) to which you demanded a ridiculous amount.

As everyone is using analogies on here how about this one. I buy a TV from a store and then find it cheaper somewhere else a week later, I go to the store I purchased it from and demand the difference in price back to me. But before I do, I go on the shops intercom and tell all the customers how bad I think the company and its manager is. Obviously after this point I fully expect the manager to be 'fair' and give me back some money.

Just remember most other car mechanics attitudes (even without you publically slandering them first) have a 'too bad so sad' like policy.

the difference being of course that he bought and paid for a Sony and was delivered a Woolies "no name" which in turn was damaged in transit .......

truly, a sad indictment of UAS but not surprising.

equally true and equally sad is the fact that this, conservatively, would be at least the tenth UAS "event" in the past six years, be it GBs or sales or shipment or whatever ... in each event the UAS attitude has been one of absolute intransigence, denial and refusal to accept responsibility .. the message is loud and clear

its alright ill take a mental loss to give others knowledge. Mechanics dont deal out non genuine parts as though they are genuine price wise so im not too sure what you are on about? you have had a bad mechanic experience? aww im not talking about a mechanic here am i.

    What about the facts?

You buy an item through a "respected" company, expecting a quality item.

You receive a piece of sh!t from a "well known avoided company" via said respected company(can no longer use quotation marks) for 20% extra cost(whatever the difference)...

There are the facts. I know I will never deal with UAS.

Be damned the whole "business deal", "the way companies make money" attitudes.

I am also very thankkful to Romonski for his useful feedback regarding this transaction. After all it is still a forum for 300zx enthusiasts and all are entitled to their feedbacks/opinions for the benefit of other forum members. Pay particular notice to the fact it is a FORUM.
