Ok.. So Turbos.. So many questions.. I found this kit on ebay :

    http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NISSAN-300ZX...=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2eb0929102

Looks tasty.. sounds tasty, but when they say they are rated to 300hp, what exactly are they saying.. the turbos will add 300hp max to my engine power? Has anyone used these and possibly know what else would be required and recommended to add to this package.

I guess what I really need is the following, I want and will get around 450hp to the wheels. What I want to know from someone here is how is the best way to do this.. the bottom end will be built for up to 800hp.

Which turbos and best suited and can effortlessly push this power out?
Which injectors are recommended for that application and what is required to install these injectors.
Which ECU is recommended to run all this, assuming the standard one shouldn't be.

What I'm after is literally a package that I can put together that works.. im sure there are people on here with a setup obtaining this sort of power. Please share :)

Thanks for reading guys, this joint is heaps more helpful that the old gemini website i was on hhaha

I not up with turboes and the like being an NA driver and all but AFAIK npower is cheap chinese crap. I personally wouldn't buy second rate stuff when it comes to something like turbos. Check out coz for some decent stuff and i'm sure someone with way more experience will reveal all soon enough :D

Ignore that link regarding your turbos.

If you're chasing the 450rwhp mark, get genuine Garrett 2860RS turbo kit from COZ (conceptzperformance.com). Current aussie dollar will see you get these turbos for a bit over 2 grand, and will garantee that power figure, but with the security of knowing they won't just blow up like cheap bok-choy Npower brand turbos. :)

Hey Benny, whats the link for those Turbos on Coz's site? Looking right now but theres only the CHRAs available and housing. Are they listed as something else? Hate this different naming crap for the same Turbos.

I'm chasing min 350rwkw, shooting for 380 and will be over the moon if she nudges 400 when I'm done with my build. Tossing up a few choices about which Turbos to go with at the moment.

Try this LINKY instead Moula, this full bolt on kit will see you to your desired power figure. :)

    Z1 KIT 675 is better

  9. CUSTOMTT

    CUSTOMTT HKS 2530

What is the reason for that? aren't they both just 2860's with 0.64 housings?

    yes same turbo ...
but better in the sense that z1 uses 2 inch compressor outlet while the sport 700 (and hks2530) still use the stock 3 bolt compressor outlet.

been covered heaps of times in threads

hks2530 are great turbos but read above on my last post.

z1 gt28rs are cheaper at $2495 and dont have the restrictive restrictive stock outlet

...can you explain why the larger Z1 725 kit then seamingly still has the 3 bolt compressor outlet flange then? (comparing to the Z1 675 kit which doesn't)

Yeah seconded that. I've always wondered the same thing, as i've been eyeing off that 725 kit actually. I might have to make some enquiries to confirm either way. :)

Hmm, i've been tossing and turning about the 675 and 725 kit for a while, and they promote it's bugger all lag difference between the two. But hell we're not exactly talking about big turbo lag V's stock lag now (as you would know too), so i'm looking into the 725 kit a bit further for the moment.

...Regarding mass lag though, maybe you could ask WazTTed (Simmo) about that stuff as he constantly encourages the 900 kit to people in just about every post!:rofl:

    HKS 2530 AWSOME price...

If you're shopping for Turbos UAS can do HKS 2530 full kit for $1950, yes that is brand new and $AUD.... Offer from HKS came through today I think JP is organising a proper thread in FSBB. Well worth considering esepcially for the money.

Yeah, but what turbo's is Simmo actually using??? 2530's, he wouldn't know what lag was.
