It is time for another Tampered Motorsport track day, at Winton Motor Raceway. The last one was etremely popular and had an awesome mixture of cars.

Entry Fee: $150 which includes Timing costs.

Spectators are more than welcome, and there is no cost to come and watch. Also you can go for a ride in the cars but you must sign on with a Passenger indemnity first. Due to the amount of passengers at previous events our insurer has put a small levy on passengers of $10. You can just pay this when you sign the forms at the Scruitineering office.

The day will kick off when scruitineering starts at 7:30am. You will need to do your paper work at the scruitineering office before you have your car checked. Please make sure you have removed all loose items from inside the car.

At this stage the day will be limited to 60 places, with 5 groups of 12 cars and entries are accepted in order of receipt.

    YOU WILL NEED:
Long sleeve and long pants of non flammable materials i.e. No Nylon
AASA license which can be bought on the day for $50 (these last for 12 months) or CAMS L2S
    Closed footwear
Helmet that complies to Australian Standards (has ASA or Snell Sticker)
Car needs to be in a good condition, no oil leaks, no loose items in the car and battery secure.
    Good condition tyres
Working seatbelt (give it a pull and make sure it locks)
All people wishing to attend need to make payment to the specified bank account. When you send your email with your details you will be sent an entry form as well as payment details. You will need to email the following details

It is tempting but I've got the NDSOC black tie 40th anniversary dinner the night before. Might make getting to Winton for a 7.30 start a bit of a problem.

You don't have to be there by 7.30am, you can arrive whenever you want. It just means you might miss the first couple of sessions.

Most of the guys and girls get that many laps they leave by just after lunch.

Anyway, if you are free Melbourne Cup Day there is another event planned. That is our anniversary event.

And possibly another just before Christmas, which will be the Tampered Motorsport Christmas Party

If there are more events comming I might just wait till then. I've got DECA, Morwell and Sandown in the next 5 weeks, plus I'll be working at the Island with the V8s as well. November only has a run to SA for the drags at the moment so it might be a better option. Keep us posted BigDaddy and give as much notice as you can.

mmm ive got sandown the week before. otherwise would have been in for this.

but i do want to do sandown first at least i can get heaps of pointers from the experts. then it will be less frightening to jump on to winton ;)

keep us updated for novemberrrr will be very interested ;);)

What are the dates for those events Pete? I'm back on the 20th for a few weeks, I probably won't have time to get the new engine in and tuned but there is an outside chance if I'm motivated.

Also, on the very left: Pete Saunders everybody.

I love it. What a classic photo. That one is definately a keeper. Will have to make sure I track down a copy of the film. The DECA day is this weekend which you will probably miss. The Morwell run is the next weekend on the 24th, so you will be back but you could struggle to get there. If you want a hand putting the engine in or just want a lift down for the day give me a call once you are back in Aus.

I will be at Morwell too so you should come to point and laugh.

Or offer encouragement and friendly advice and stuff, though that does not sound like as much fun.

This sounds great, Winton is probably the track I am most keen to get on in Victoria (though I am looking forward to the brand new bitumen at Haunted Hills too)

Unfortunately as with WYKKED I have far too much stuff on at the moment so probably won't be able to make this one. Please let us know about future events as early as possible and I will make sure I get to as many of them as I can.

    Thanks for inviting us too.

Isnt this the day after the AFL grand Final? If Geelong gets up again I might not be in a condition to drive.
Otherwise wouldnt mind coming down for this one, only about 6 hours away.

Nah, you probably want to come down for one of the other ones they do later in the year.

I'll see how I go for Morwell, I am spewing about missing out on DECA by just a couple of days, doing a day on the skid pan with a ton of Z's is my dream and with the new diff the Skyline would be tons of fun also :(

    I would love too.

Probably shouldn't after DECA, Morwell and Sandown all so close together but we will see.

I'd say Winton is a better track to start out on than Sandown. There's loads more runoff at Winton and it's a tighter, slower track than Sandown, so if you do have an off the odds of it being catastrophic are much lower.
Winton was the first track I ever drove on, and to be honest I reckon it's the best one for circuit newbies.

P.S, I've been to a couple of Tampered Motorsport's Winton events, and they're quite good. $150 is a great price, too.
