mate they are being very harsh on you , you can get your parents to insure it cheap, dont use it as a daily take the badges off it, and behave yourself, the only unlikely evant to trip you up is a random breath test, where they are allowed to defect you on the spot, pm me if you need a blue slip $150

You guys saying its not a tt look at engine bay pics... now i know that it could be a copied pictures but who knows. All i can say is got check it out. but do not put any money down on it untill you have at least driven it. gotta admit tho add does look a lil iffy.

As for the other issue about you been on ya p's... personally i wouldnt bothher get a tt until you could legally do it, but if ya do get it i wouldnt flame ya for it... just dont come crying to us if ya do get busted

When you get caught, enjoy the fine and loss of licence. Car looks ok, however would you really sell a 100km car for 4k?? i think not. Bet somethings wrong with it.

My first car was a NA Z, and I still have it today 5 years on. I honestly dont think I'd still have it today if it was a TT. As a P plater you do stupid shit and often try and prove yourself in front of others. I would have probably crashed it if I had the extra power. You dont need it, you need to mature as a driver first in mind and skill.

    Also it sounds dodgy

What you'll find is that too many P platers aren't mature enough to have all that power under their right foot. I know P paters who shouldn't be allowed to sit in a corolla let alone an NA zed lol. PS: An NA zed is plenty of fun and is quick enough if you can drive it properly.

NA zeds aren't powerful enough for anyone to get into trouble.

Regardless of what the ad says, definitely eye ball if before doing anything else.

Externally the body looks to be in good shape. It's most probable that it's had a respray hence the condition, and the na front bar. Would have a close look at the paints application. From a far it may look good but up close it could be average. Hence the price as an idea for one.

Furthermore, the interior needs a tidy up. The tan material is lifting in spots and would need attention. Seats etc etc. All aesthetics though. Look for wear indicatiors such as wear on the steering wheel, pedals, handbrake boot. All that sorta stuff. Excessive wear usually means lots of kms, or a hard life. Remembering that the kms will be wrong to start with. It's a grey import. And it's not 1994 build. Supply us with a vin when you look at it.

Engine wise, looks too clean. But the owner may be a predantic one and likes it all clean and shiny. I mean who here really hasn't given the zed z big clean up when it was first new to them. I sure do when i buy cars.

I would definitely have the engine compression tested, cooling system pressure tested and an overall good looking over. Small things like the oem fuel lines from the filter suggest it's not had a 100xxx km service. At which i would definitely aim at doing regardless. So aim to spend around 1k for that. Less if you're handy yourself, more if you go to a workshop that likes to rape little boys in there sports cars.

Check for worn cv boots, steering rack boots, cooling hoses (stiffness), just overall things that familiarize yourself with it. Oil leaks are a big thing. Also being auto, drive it and make sure it selects all gears well, use the hold button also and see if it locks up and holds gear.

All up it looks pretty but the price indicates a hidden adgender. So do your homework, else wise you'll be needing to spend a of more on it.

And as for the whole p plate issue. It's your call in the end. Common sense vs stupidity. It's a fine line. You make your bed, you lay in it. No point whinging if you get caught should you go ahead with it. As clearly there are no Pedro bears here to rub your ego.

Again, do your homework about it. And go from there. If i wanted a black tt 2 seater. I would look at it. But im happy to play with broken stuff. Only other downer is it's auto. That being said our auto zed had been perfect since day one.

Oh and lastly. You can stick your whole na zed hating crap. Have your desires, but we appreciate the vechile for it's style, body and design. Not it's trim packages - well not entirely. :)

    what if

most of the guys on the forum are giving you good advice. not to mention that if you have an accident the insurance wont pay up. if you kill someone you would be in deep shit young gun.

No but being the fastest P plater in your suburb is way more important then risking debt for the next 10 years, dealing with possibly killing someone due to your actions and losing your licence. :W:

I suggest attempting to apply for that exemption you think you can get before you look at actually buying a car. Unless you're either a politician or can spin bull terd like one, chances are I don't think you'll qualify. It's quite strict, it normally has to be work related. I guess you could take the boot hatch off and fill the car with fertiliser or dirt, don't think you'd get real far convincing them with that one though

I've said it in another thread, whatever you do, do it legal. Being caught once will follow you. My younger brother can't apply for the police force until he's 24 over a single large speeding fine. You're young and you're a P plater, in the eyes of the tabloid level media and most police officers, you're evil incarnate. Don't do more to get yourself in trouble

If this was a silvia forum or skyline forum I dont think the members would be as concerned, I could be wrong but that's another great thing about this forum. The maturity of members is quite high.

    The Truth!!!

Kesh i have met you a few times and have seen you drive your zed and driven next to you and in front of you. You are a HOON!!! You have yourself said in your own threads that you thrash you zed and want to thrash it harder!!! The day we all had the tech day at Dean's place to fix your struggling zed, thats exacrlg what yiu wanted to do...and as soon as we fixed the issue, you left in a manner that can only be called hooning and thrashing!!!

You did reverse out of Dean's driveway which is quite spacious and quite far from what you would call a tight driveway...you clipped your driver side mirror on his fence...i still dont understand how you could manage that!!!

You claim to be such a good driver!!! But here are the facts: you have written off your dad's ford!!! You cant reverse properly!!! You cant merge lanes without almost causing an accident!!! You tailgate!!! You speed and thrash the crap out of your poor zed!!! I have never said this...i have never felt sorry for a zed more than yours!!!

You claim to be able to get away with driving a TT zed on your RED P's!!! That is actually not true as of yet, and is still to be seen!!! You said its because if the car is regsietered as a work car, then they legally cant tell you that you cant drive it!!! I would love to see if this is true or not!!!

We as a forum try and help you out and give you good FREE advice!!! If you choose to listen to it or not, that is upto you!!! The car in question that you are looking at seems to be a fake or a lemon...if that is all you can find as a "good" zed then you need some help!!! They are a lot of zeds on the forum for sale...have a look at them if your reallg keen on a TT...

    Free advice:
    1) learn to drive properly
    2) spend the money and do defensive driving course
    3) dont buy a TT till your off your P's
    4) stop hooning and thrashing your poor zed

    Hope you listen :)

    Abraham

there is so much love on this thread, i'm starting to get emotional, all we need is some hysterical woman dressed in black with handkerchiefs, on there knees pleading for the young lad to see the light and we have ourselves a great scene worth any emmy!

what was i going to say again???

oh yeah,, the exception.. ok lets talk about that considering it got bought up.

the exception is meant for people have have a good reason to require a more powerful car for the purposes of work. ergo, if you worked at a stableyard and the work vehicle was a f350 used for towing a horse float, vis a vis, if you were a builder and the work vehicle was a v8 ute used to cart around a ton of bricks too and from the site, hence, applying for a permit on a small japanese sports car with no tow ball let alone any luggage space to put a bag of cement, there is no reason why you would need to be driving that car for any reasonable... reason.

don't get me wrong, im quite impartial to this whole conversation, I used to tinker with the old v8's and was looking into the same deal when i was 17, but i was working as a labourer for a guy who owned a shit ton of machinery and a kenworth he converted from a primer mover to a tip truck and then a flat bed. the only car's he owned were a XD with a worked 351 and a HQ with a worked 308 (sidenote.... DROOOOLLL!!!!)

    where was I??
on yeah,,, do what someone else suggested and start working on your TT, then when you are off your p's install it in the NA, you will be better off having the NA running gear because of the gear ratio's being different to the turbos and in the meantime you can tweak your suspension and do up the body work and the interior etc. theres more to driving these cars than the power, you can make them pretty luxurious if you spent some money on some creature comforts, its not all about Horsepower :D
