    Yeah!
Great bunch of people there today(even if it's hard to put names to all the faces:eek:).
Found some lost boost(and a stuffed Blitz DSBC).
Still have a very attractive pair of "decorative BOV's" that are about as helpful as a back pocket in a football sock.:zlove::zlove:

It was good to catch up with you,

    Lloyd:rofl::rofl:

Damn you, Ziggy... did you HAVE to put me and my expectant twins in your very first photo...!! NOW I know why I'm still single...!!!:):)
Thanks to all who came along... and a thank-you from my sons for leaving the area so tidy. None of the staff coming in today even knew we'd been there!. Makes it easier for a (if) next time....

Thanks mike for providing the facilities for us once again, and the food and drinks.
it was a great gesture from a guy who doesn't even have a working zed (all you guy's, we may have to do something about that)

    great shots ziggy.

    Got home safe!!!

Was meant to start a thread yesterday to thank everyone who showed up and participated. Actually to be honest, my facial muscles experienced tremendous cramps! Was smiling all the way from the venue 'til I got home! So happy with the outcome! T'was my first time to organise such thing. Definitely wouldn't be the last! :zlove:

It's my turn to shower some thanks to all you guys who made it a success. I know I didn't have much time to roam around and grease up all your hands but you know who you are. If I miss anyone, my apologies but here goes (in no particular order; just basically relying on my eenie weenie RAM inside me skull):

    • Mike -- your venue is just perfect and is just perfectly matched with such hospitable persona like yours. Big thanks to you! Oh and by the way, the wasps put all the guys on their toes for the whole duration...
    • Grahame (East Coast Z) -- thanks for bringing your expertise to the rescue. You've always been my constant mentor! :)
    • Ziggy -- through ups and downs, mate! I'll definitely be there for your own plenum pull. Great photos as well! Thanks for backing me up as always... :)
    • Terry -- the brain behind the plenum pull! That was my first time to meet, yet you've already offered something that could last millions of laps together. Thanks for making my engine breathe better, mate! And kindly extend my deepest gratitude to your three musketeers (slick97 included?). I promise to pay you back next time in whatever small and simple ways I can...
    • Bryan (and Megan) -- travelling all the way from distant Australia just to take part to that momentous event. That could be your nth plenum pull mate but that surely pulled away so well! Your an expert in that field, and I owe you big time. Thanks for your time. Hope to meet up with you's two again soon...
    • Greg -- another successful plenum pull in your cabinet of achievements, mate! Thanks for all those smart and handy tips you've shared. We've got heaps more of meets ahead of us. Looking forward to work with you again in the not so distant future...
    • Lloyd (and Lynn) -- your presence has never failed to emanate that radiant feeling of companionship and family. Truly two figures the group should be proud of. Thanks for showing up and sharing a piece of your precious time with us...
    • Grahame (zedsr4me) -- besides calling me a d**kh**d for not bringing the side mirrors, stabbing yourself with a knife is another way of reminding me of you and your no-nonsense humour! :D Funny, but at the end of the day it was such a pleasure meeting you afterall (I realised)...
    • Nem (and cousin?) -- good to see you again, mate! Hope to bump with you and your zed (not literally though) next time with that SAFC installed already... :)
    • Wayne -- hey matey, I didn't get the chance to mingle with you that much but just want to let you know that your zed rocks! Will surely look forward to catch up with you again next time...
    • Mike (zedboy) -- good to see you again, mate! Didn't get the time to check your pretty plenum but your thread about polishing was awesome! Subscribed on it and all! Thanks for showing up on the tech day, mate...
    • Michael (mijake) -- thumbs up for sharing us your knowledge and skills, mate! You've blended well with those zed geniuses working on my engine. Thanks heaps. And give my big thanks to the other guy who came with you and participated with the troubleshooting. I feel so dumb and retarded for not introducing myself properly. Hope to catch up again with you soon...

Alrighty, I know I've missed a few (or did I?!) and my apologies for that but I definitely remember all your faces. LOL. And to me, you're all angels from above sent to pull my plenum! Harharharhar!!!

Time to click away and shower some THANKS (so you better post up and show me that thanks button)... :zlove:

    you are more than welcome,
continue with the injector connectors, the heater core hoses and vac/boost leaks
and that's at least another 50hp to give ;)

Had a blast and the biggest thanks to Mike for the wonderful venue, food and organisation. I think Mike is onto something with kicking the neighbouring vacancy out and putting some hoists in there :D:D:D:zlove::eek::D!!

Great to meet a few more genuine peeps from around NSW and even Geelong! The amount of knowledge floating around the back of that workshop was enough to re-write the factory service manual!

Glad Arvin that you and your zed got home with no problems!

Took a few happy snaps, but nothing that hasn't been covered already. So here are a few interesting ones :

Can't imagine my zed getting better. All the while, I was thinking it's the best in my garage (having a fairmont ghia and sx4 as well)! LOL. But seriously, she's 300% better than how she was. Before , everytime I abruptly step on the gas she goes wooooobbb then zooooom! But no more of those woobs this time. Better acceleration and response definitely. Goodbye to that balance pipe air leak!

But hey listen, the best part is hearing the words "I'm not yet satisfied!" from you. You are such a perfectionist, Terry! And I can hear me zed's heart thumping, craving for more fiddling and tuning ups done on her. Your work (and the rest of the guys') made me proudly say that I got a zed...

I'm looking forward to return the favor in the near future, matey...

Thanks Arvin, for biting the bullet and successfully organising a well attended Tech Day.
Excellent opportunity to bond with good like-minded people(thanks to all who poked and prodded the Chilimobile back into a healthy heartbeat).
    What's your next event??

Looking forward to the next get-together.

Thanks so much to all the NSW crew for making Bryan and myself welcome. We were the out of towners and were made to feel apart of your syndicate. It was really nice to meet such wonderful and knowledgeable people.

Now for us, the holiday is over and we face the long drive back to Geelong (over 800kms) in the morning. We hope to see you guys again whether we come back up or you guys venture down our way for a sight see and/or to take part in a cruise.

Thanks to Arvin for his organising a great day and thanks to those who attended that made the day memorable for Bryan and I.

P.S. As some of you were aware our drive up was not the without its troubles when Bryan discovered a turbo waterline was leaking. Bryan was able to replace the hose, by accessing it, through removing the battery.
