Sounds exciting man i'll see if I can get a lift out there with someone...I can't drive atm no money for fuel maybe zac might be keen to take me there ? haha

 

Well, Saturday's the day! Will have the rest of the parts needed before then. Ze Wizard will cast the final spell on my engine before it goes back in...

And we might have a surprise guest who will have his beast back on Friday after staying interstate for some serious rebuildin'... *wink wink*

How about a summary of all that's being done? I take it the engine is out just to upgrade/replace stock turbos? Under plenum water bypass has taken place I assume, anything else?

 

T'was an unexpected engine pull operation. Never thought I'd be involved in such process, not in the near at the least. But my passenger turbo gave me a reason.

*GT28R's are already in place :drool:
*still in the process of completing the 200k service but almost there
*resealed valve covers
*new engine mounts
*new HKS dumps
*new O2 sensors
*new det sensor
*cleaned the whole engine (was sooooo grubby due to leaking valve cover)
*will be replacing clutch also to Exedy Organic clutch
*new silicone heater core hoses
*replacing coolant bypass pipes & hoses




These are all from memory. There might be more but the bed's already calling me! Can't wait for this coming Saturday as we will aim to complete the process, with the ever willing helping hand of the Wizard and the rest of the Sydney zedders... :br:

Fourth leg of the engine job weekend tomorrow. Hoping to complete the timing belt operation and completing the turbos with their new dumps...

Wizard and customTT are confirmed to come. PM or SMS me if anyone else is showing up. I'll be up by 8am and start in the garage...

Spent the day finishing off the engine...










Had the chance to clean and recondition the plenum...










She's still sleeping under anaesthesia, patiently waiting for the conclusion of her operation...











Won't be able to join Sydney zedders for the tech day as Matt and I will be working Saturday and Sunday. This waiting is killing me! Miss her so...

I think you might need to flip it 180 degrees, and put the plastic on the anterior face of the viscous clutch.

Something doesn't look right there.
