I highly doubt that. Highly modified/tuned TT Z32 vs Highly modified/tuned SC Z32. I reckon the TT will leave it for dead around the twisties and definately in the straights.
Doubly agree! Big turbos = big lag, Big Supercharger = big mid range You know what it's like waiting for the boost to come on, really anoying, with a SC, it's there all the time...
I want to see this project work All the best, if it works I could seriously think about doing mine. I've been looking at SC zed options. The reason I like the combo is good strong reliable hp. It's never going to be the fastest but will have mountains of USABLE hp and torque, would be a great hill climb car.
Also don't go for a scoop on the bonnet you will ruin the lines of the car completely just have a bulge fabricated into it would look better I think, less dramatic.
You guys want a EXTREME SUPER CHARGER THEN LOOK AT THIS http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...RK:MEWA:IT&viewitem=&item=220091561015&rd=1,1 You cant go past a offer like this can you
Ive seen this set up before, it is very impressive, i dont know why it has never been doen with any other motor, i guess when it comes down to it its too complicated, still VERY cool
its a very...umm..different concept i think its kinda cool though, i mean obviously its very, very tame but it could be an alright way to increase air flow in an NA without goign to extreme measures
All this guess work that a supercharged car will be faster around a track vs a turbocharged car is just stupid, it's not like the "lag" is 5 hours with a turbo especially when running small amounts of unintercooled boost under 10psi. Take into account the drag on the engine using a belt driven supercharger and the increased charge temperature it's all just unfounded guesswork that a supercharged Z is going to be quicker around the track than a turbocharged Z until it's actually PROVEN. You know proof, that trivial thing to support one arguement over the other? lol
Mmmmm, we'll see I guess. As long as this little project actually gets done. Me in my little old NA regualirly keep up or beat turbo cars (incl 180SX's Silvia's, R33 GTS-T's, TT Zeds and I finally gave that R32 GTR a good run for his money ) across nice windy mountain roads. It seems to be more in the driver and suspension than the power. AZA in his NA used to run very similar times to Fleet before he built his beast. I'd think that a SC Z with a good driver and good suspension on a tight track would come out on top.
look a supercharged TT will kill both of you a superchrager for the mid range and turbos for the top end, happy now
It has been done a few times. I remember seeing a little datto with a twin-charged 12A, made around 300rwkw Mmmm, twin turbo supercharged goodness *dribling smiley* Someone just HAS to try that!!
This would be a good project to install along with an RB25. Then there would be enough room to fit the S.C. under the hood.
When i say Modfied TT vs SC im taking into account that all the suspension work, brakes etc. have done too. Both cars driven by pro drivers, i reckon the TT would win. Stock and lightly modded R33's and 180's are easy to beat. Congratz in whopping them in your N/A most of shocked them.
yeah well a Twin Superchared TT with nitrous and VTEC YO! will kill your twin supercharded TT with nitrous, so there
You need a twin turbo, twin supercharged with SMIC's & FMIC, variable intake manifold length, adjustable spoilers, 6 pods and at least 10 botles of NOS in the boot and VTEC on the crankshaft That'd really hammer! Sedat, the TT vs SC on a tight track sounds like something we will never agree on till it actually happens. We could be waiting a while...
