    Hi,

Yep you'll need the $350 ones, and also if u drive a lot out of city, you can get the 45w ones,

they globes are pretty reliable, they won't have any problem for 2000hrs, say you drive 2000km per wk say about 25 hrs per wk night drive, you'll have them working for at least 1.5 years. And as your truck is kinda switch on the engine and keep running for ages, normally the h.i.d. wouldn't get faulty as long as they are well installed in a stable place far from heat.

    questions

Can you please tell me exactly what comes with the kit?? Also what type of bulb do you recommend?? I'm after something with a bright white light. Not interested in light with a blue tinge...

Now, I'm assuming these kits use special globes. In the event that one of these globes blow, where can you purchase them from?

    Cheers

Thankyou very much, one thing I forgot to ask however is the current setup has low and high beam in the same bulb. Can this setup be replicated for the same price by any chance?

If not, the headlight design has a second parabolic chamber that for whatever reason isn't used from the factory so I could set that up with traditional high beam globes. Not that I would need them as the truck is covered in spot lights, but for rego purposes anyway.

    Thanks again.

if only for rego purpose, i have the H4 Hid globe with a halogen bulb beside it on the same base act as the "high beam" so when you get into the pits you do have the low beam and high beam but the high beam wouldn't be as bright as the low beam.
This bulb is the same price as the single beam ones.

But i recommend just relocate your high beam to other place, coz the halogen bulb aside will effect the light outcome a little bit. you wont have 100% brightness with it.

I have 6000k in the lows, in your opinion, should I stick with the same temperature for the highs, or go with a more true white like a 4300k?

Really up to your personal taste.

If you drive a lot in the country then go white.

I have tried to install the globes you gave me for the high beam kit and can not fit them. Do you have a suitable method to make them fit?

    Big bazs install guide,

    Open beer and take sip
    Remove current headlight globes

plug globes into ballasts (Being careful not to touch th globes) and test ballast direct to battery to ensure proper operation of globes
    Open next beer

Put new globes into headlights, plug into ballasts, plug ballasts into stock connector, (if not provided with kit you may need to puechase 4 spade connectors, easily available from jaycar) test once in car again, open a beer and marvel at the wonder of HIDs

With spade connectors it does not require cutting away of the stock components like some install guides (not mentioning any names simon) and allows you to revert to the stock setup easily anytime a man in a blue suit with a badge on hhis arm notices that blue tinge from your headlights

It's not wank factor! It's a pretty blue colour! I've never had any trouble with the cops and my headlights. I wouldn't have gone any cooler than 6000K :zlove:
