or replace it with more powerful unit - can you buy a TT'd alternator? Nice work Peter. What does 400+ kw feel like ?? Cheers, Peter
Im suprised you put those in when you knew what the turbos did on Johns car. Any reason you didnt go bigger originally? I would be careful with the boost cause I know at 375rwkw I was 102% duty cycle on my 555s (I dont know how it calculates over 100% but thats what it read), and it wont be good to be doing that for any period. If I was you though I'd be just enjoying my car for a while and forget about the injectors cause it was when I went to upgrade my injectors for just that reason that my dramas started like 18 months ago and Im still not driving my car Very sharp power curve, any plan for some traction control maybe to make it more street friendly?
Awesome stuff Peter, I hope you'll take it Auto Salon and kick their butts! Also you'll have to get some babes wearing g-strings to lie on it, just like we saw last time Cheers and fang the rings off it at the drags! Geoff
Unreal, was waiting to read about this... As you say, with more to come easy with a fuel system upgrade. Very jealous, congrats!
HPI Mag number 51 Featured with another burgandy zed which is currently for sale at UAS. Another stunning zed. :zlove: Here is a link to the article Click Here
My zed has not gone on a diet It has increased in weight with a big sub in the boot (~14kgs but easily removed),Also has 'underbody protection' which I imagine would add a little bit. Still has an A/C setup. However to its favour (in terms of having less weight) it has no HICAS, an NA power steering pump, no electric seats, NA driveshaft etc. Dont know what to expect at a 1/4mile. One things for sure, it wont be doing it on Falken Ziex tyres Bring on semi slicks
That is awesome..>> Congratulations to both you and UAS on a great result. Unless you are in pursuit of further extreme dyno figures depending on your aspirations for the car I would be concentrating on drivability. After messing around with my Z for a couple of months it is as smooth as silk under normal driving conditions and moderate load. Booting it even moderately hard results in traction problems with near new tyres on dry surface. Will be interested in how you go with traction, at my lower power levels I will continue to experiment with AVCR settings and driver teqnique rather than traction control Have fun with all that new power !.
