Hi all. Was good to catch up with everyone, even if only briefly - Riverland weekends are always busy for us. Ta to all for the quick cleanup of our poor ole' neglected Mine's beastie - Renee, nice car cleaning uniform :D

Re the Skyline posts- I might wander over and post a comment or two. I think there needs to be some clarification on just what a 'Top Club Display' is, and what qualifies. I for one would like to see some healthy competition for this trophy. Competition, not rivalry, that is. Both Clubs support the event strongly, and both Clubs deserve recognition for that.

    Cheers all.

I cleaned one of your wheels Dave :p (by the time I found Doug and checked I could borrow his bucket then filled it up with water, Pete had already cleaned all but the drivers wheel with his wheel cleaning product  - too quick for me pete :p)

Was great to meet you and will definitely have to try and plan a trip to Adelaide after Berri next year to try out these roads you were talking about ;)

Nice post on SAU as well, one big Nissan family again...I LOLd at this comment by Inline 6

I highly doubt it but if I've still got the GTR next year maybe I'll bring it and can help build the bridge between the two groups :D

    Cheers!

Hello to all my Nissan brethren. A few of you have come over to Skylines Australia (SAU) and added your thoughts to one of our threads so I thought I would do the same. I should point out that I wasn't at the Loxton Car Show but as a member of the newly formed SAU-SA club I do have an interest in anything that our members participate in and how they represent the club. In the case of the Loxton I was disappointed by some of our members and their comments afterwards.

Firstly congratulations to all of you for winning the Top Club Display! Those of you who made the trip from Melbourne have my respect as that demonstrates a strong commitment to each other and pride in your club and cars. I would also like to thank the members who posted up so many photos. Some of you have talent behind the lens and several of these photos look brilliant. Whilst I enjoy car shows I prefer to take my cars to the track but I can appreciate the time, effort and $ spent in making a vehicle 'show' worthy and then the work involved in keeping it sparkling for the duration of the show.

As I mentioned above SAU-SA is a newly formed CAMS affiliated club and atm we are focused on staging events and growing our membership. However I am already concerned with how we portray ourselves in public and how others perceive us. Too many of 'Joe Public' already think all Skyline drivers are hoons and this view is repeatedly reinforced by the media in SA and unfortunate there are always individuals who give the media something to write about. Below is my statement from the corresponding thread in SAU. The last sentence sums up nicely what I am trying to point out to SAU-SA.

    thanks for posting writeoff.

whilst i didnt attend either i must comment that as i read, it was great of you to come back and forth and bring the whole skyline / 300zx community closer.

i see / hang around a hell of a lot of SAU members and i must say they are some of the nicest people / courteous drivers on the road. so to see the comments from a few members, being rude was quiet disheartening, but none the less they apologised and all is back to the norm.

    ahhh i love those plates.
even dare i say it, a little more than my girlfriend..

nah i kid.. :p but i do want them lol.

    kindest regards.

I meant to answer this earlier. Their R32 GTR has the plate RBWARE - just to break the trend. Shane - the owner of PURESX & RBWARE is actually the inaugural President of SAU-SA. As a couple they have a very nice collection of cars.
