HID's are great, a must do mod. The difference is huge but some people think I'm driving with my headlights on, and I was given the finger. I must try and adjust them to point down more. Working late each night and driving through the hills they've saved me a couple of times from various animals.
run the bastards over,if its not big enough to do alot of damage,go straight,braking and swerving is either going to cause a pileup or a rollover-kids of today lol
Update.. On Tuesday the 24th of Feb at night, Craig and I were busy adjusting the doors so they aligned a lot better..so yet again the front bar comes off.. Then the guards needed to come off so we could try and adjust the door brackets a bit better.. Drivers side before adjusting: Drivers side after adjusting: Passengers side looked ok so we left it alone: Pretty much, the doors don't look like they align up properly, but they are pretty damn close its more the strips that don't sit down flush against the body.. Anyways..that's all we had planned for Tuesday night.. WEDNESDAY NIGHT Further update..yesterday night Craig and I had driven the zed to his work, and they were nice enough to let us keep the zed in their workshop over night, so we could drive it literally across the road to the Paint shop..:bow2: Yet again, I was at it again, removing the front bar..I'm a pro now lol.. Next we finally fitted the skirts on with sikaflex and bolted it up.. Then we went around with some masking tape and labeled all the dints with a "D" and repairs with a "R".. A couple of photos of the bad rust areas under the mirrors..which will be getting repaired.. Drivers side: Passengers side: And lastly the zed left to sleep overnight, ready for her big day on Thursday..
Can't wait to see it all painted up. It's gonna look sweet! Fingers crossed I'll be able to make the GOR cruise and see it in person.
Is it weird that I'm getting butterflys in my stomach? lol Cant wait. Will be one sexy beast! Make sure to ask them how long til you can wash the paint, or clean it, I roughly rememebr with new paint you're not suppose to do certain things with it for a few weeks/months?

You might need a new door hinge, or have the old one rebuild. They fatigue, and sag over time, which is why your drivers door was so far out.
Yeah tried to source some new bushes for the hinges but no luck...did it for the R31 once and worked a treat...the Z drivers door is pretty good now though. Also talked about washing/polishing after being sprayed, can pretty much wash it a few days after as it will be 2pak baked on and prob wait a couple of weeks before using any polish. Cheers! Craig

Well just dropped into the panel shop to get a couple of progress pics to find the Z is pretty much finished...just some more polishing to do and reattach some parts...so will be picking it up tomorrow night. Is a pretty dim day so the photos arent great but you get the drift Cheers! Craig

Yeah we were going to do a different colour if we sprayed it ourselves as black would show up any and all imperfections...but since we got it done pro, she's left it a pearl black...looks really deep, some good sun on the GOR cruise will bring it out nicely Cheers! Craig
