not sure that it does.. electroluminescent tape would be fine.. i have done some reading on it and ther eis no fact stating that it is noisy.. PLEASE confirm... Not forgetting that the zeds are loud as is..
Final price I have a price on these lights to be sent Each one would pay $75.00 thats for any of the colours I put up plus postage from US via air mail. it's not the coloured bit that buzzes, its the cube thing electronic device whatever it is i hv them in my doorsills can you post pics of the colours? i'd like to know how dark the ice blue is going to be i'd just be interested in what you posted, the coloured flat panel and the electronic buzzing thing i already have a rear illuminated panel
The inverter will make noise! but i dont care, its in the back and should be easy to muffel-hide behind the trim, they make more noise if you attach them to the body! Blood red for me.
gonzo can you get pictures of the colours? i want to make sure that the ice blue isn't too white can you cut these panels to whatever length and shape that you want?
i have ice blue in my panel Sorry its not a good pic The unit I have doesnt make a nose. I just sold one to minivan so if you could ask to see his light when he gets it if you live near him thats is. I cant get any pic of the other colours but they are bright not dark. Im sure you can cut these just have to cut them and place clear tape back over the end where you have just cut to seal it up again. Gonzo
It's called a transformer It's the quality of the transformer which dictates whether it buzzes or not.
Inverter, not transformer That is what I was told. It is the small black box next to the EL panel. When I fitted my rear panel with the new light, the buzzing noise stopped. My old panel would probably light up with a new inverter fitted Cheers Rob

it's the transformer inside the inverter that makes the noise Yes the inverter is the black box which consists of numerous parts including a transformer.
