Hey Tim, plan at the moment is to modify the plenum to take Bosch 60mm DBW throttle bodies, then polish and ceramic coat (so similar finish to my old one). Will get that looked into in the same trip as getting the exhaust manifolds made so might not be until october.
don’t run out of money like I did - I had the same plan in motion with the Throttle bodies- Some crazy customisation (that may not have been needed) occurred … and there went that fund pool. The intake looks great, love the cam covers
Have been playing around with hydro finishes for some website stock and decided to get some pieces done for my own car. Version R trims are no longer available (NLA) as a set so I started with a pair of version S window switch rim and a G trim stereo surround and had more modern gloss carbon fibre finish applied. That gets finished with a two pack epoxy clear and polished so the end result is something that fits like factory (because it is) with a finish that should outlast the rest of the car. I can't take credit for the finish but one thing I can tell you is that you don't know fear until you're puting machine screws back into the plastic threads of your brand new interior parts... Late model window switches and adapter looms included.
Haven't done much with this one lately - the last big push was to get it rolling for the move and it's more or less sat here since. Anyway I had a message last week that I've been waiting on for a little while to let me know that I can get the car in to get mainfolds made. Spent toaday stripping the front end to make it a little easier to work around. Pulled the mirrors off too as I expect it's going to be in the workshop for a little while and they'd be hard to replace if one got bumped. Anyway hopefully the next pics will involve some shiny 347 stainless manifolds...
Car got dropped off today and it looks like he's made a start fitting up the Bosch 60mm DBW flanges to the Ash manifold. Clears the bonnet vent so I'm happy!
Few more fab pics. The DBW throttle bodies have been fitted with plazmaman adapters for Wiggins style clamps and some new throttle body inlets fabbed on to the existing Border racing piping. Will need to put another clamp somewhere so that they can be removed for servicing etc which is a shame. Although at this rate I'm not sure I'll live long enough to see it require a timing belt change lol The coolant outlets have been converted for Hypertune Hyper Clamps. These will be paired up with fabricated radiator "hoses" once the new radiator is ready. And the catch can/header tank has been updated for AN-10 inlet (instead of barbs) and vent to atmosphere.
Little bit mroe work going on. Stainless steel manifold flanges positioning the drivers' side turbo One of the manifolds coming together
I'm going to have to have a chat to Ben about taking these pics in landscape instead of portrait, but that's one manifold done... apparently they can be installed engine in, too...
Passenger side manifold is done Plenty of space to install the manifold and turbo in-car, apparently...
