Yep, NA > TT conversion. Pretty much waiting on the exhaust cam gears then it's all going together and back in. Few more weeks and it will be ready to take down to the exhaust shop. Pretty busy at the moment though Not worried about the integrity of the hard lines, was just a PITA getting it all lined up nicely. Oi! Thats enough out of you planner boy If I didn't have my holidays cancelled and wasn't getting these JUN gears I would have had it back in the car by now...
My JUN exhaust gears rocked up today Big thanks to rob260 for getting these for me Got my cooler pipework, coolers and BOV's mounted up last weekend. Still need to make some brackets for pipework and the coolers. Here is a piccy of the TT motor just after I picked it up from K-Zed. Shiny AMS dumps :zlove: Ported heads bolted up And borrowed this useful book off a mate. Pity the DOHC section is quite short I'll be in the shed for a while this weekend and hope to get the motor completely together. Also picked up a set of LS1 mounts today. They are beefy to say the least
When I quote his message I can see the image code so if I was really enthusiastic I could copy and paste that to a new browser window but, you know, lazy and such..
What ever uploader Chrispy is using isnt allowing us to see it. I copied the image code into a new window but it requires his login. You'll have to rework that one Chrispy. Photobucket
Ah crap... Got Tonto to sort me out with some interwebz space, but I guess I'm using it wrong lol! I will have a fiddle with it soon.
Shush you! Lol! I spent most of the morning with Dad at BMW and Merc dealerships, so not much done today in the shed Got the new exhaust gears on and attempted to dial the cams (see other thread when I update that). And I don't know how to make this interwebz thing work. Waiting on tech support to get back to me I don't like things I can't fix with a spanner or hammer!
Got it started today Only one oil leak and that was the passenger side turbo feed which I had only done up finger tight Of all the lines this is the easiest to fix, lucky! Sounds pretty crap compared to the V8 though Just a lot of tidying up to do now. LHD looms are a pain... Think I'll remove the turbosmart reg and use a standard one for the time being and will reduce hassles with RWC.
i was just about to write a message in another thread giving you shit about saying youd get it going this weekend. but no need for that now. lol I dont like the sound of a cammed VG to me it just sounds like its not running right. lol
