I will be getting my NA zed tuned next month by Tom at PZP and just wanted to throw out there what people would predict to be the figure? Last dyno was a 132rwkw (roughly ) nearly 2 years ago and have mostly done maintenance work on her (200k serivce, wiring harness replaced, S2 PTU etc..), BUT she has never been tuned before (even though I should have done it after every mod ). Has following mod list: - Blitz SUS Air Filter - Headers - Complete 2.25" exhaust system - UD Pulley - Aluminium Lightweight Flywheel - H/Duty clutch w/9 Puck disc So, would anyone like to take a guess? Voting closes 21st August. I personally think I will get around 132rwkw (again) before the tune and maybe 140rwkw after it but hoping for more :zlove: Cheers Rob
Can depend on the dyno, which is why I am keen to get a power run at the dyno to see how effective the tune is. At the very least it will improve some low down response that I seem to have lost in recent years Cheers Rob
fark i want a vg again... i've been driving around with a pathetic sr20de for the last 2 weeks and i hate it! good luck on the dyno... hopefully 140
69.69rwkw.... yeah sure you will have lost power, but id still be happy with that number lol!!!! really though, i reckon 145rwkw is achievable..... ps rob, your car has a one piece lightweight tailshaft on that mod list as well...
whats the going rate for a NA dyno... last i heard it was 800 bucks??? considering you allready pulled 132kws... is it really worth 800 bucks for a tune to 140kws???.. for 8kws???? 100 bucks per kw spend your money on something else dude ! like putting it towards your paint fund
Should definately see an improvement in torque and the A/F ratio will be HEAPS better after too :zlove: Cheers Rob
$550 is with the final tune right? if so, i would wait until you have done any other mods to the engine/driveline before getting the final tune done... have you considered upgrading the diff and lighter wheels... will give you a better and more accurate tune.
The main thing that has stopped me from having it tuned to date is the electrics (broken knock sensor, o2 sensors etc...) plus previously there was just no one I trusted to do a good chip and tune. The tune can be updated down the track when the cams and other head work is done and definately after the rebuild in the distant future Cheers Rob
You could "upgrade" it to a TT diff... if you wanna sacrifice a proverbial bucketload of acceleration considering how much taller the TT diff is
Screw upgrading the diff and getting lightweight wheels. Just rip the engine out of the car and run that on the dyno. Can't get much more accurate than that hehehe :zlove: (DISCLAIMER: I'm just messing with ya directzx apologies if any offense was caused hehe)
