    !RANT!
Ok hears the story it was late (just after 11pm) and I was heading home I was in a 70 zone doing 65 then turned left on to manning road at (Karawara shops so a 70 zone) and as I was accelerating back up to 65-70 I sore a paddy wagon going the other way so I watched him in my mirrors and he quickly changed lanes so he could do a U-turn at the lights so I continued at 65-70km/h and at the next set of lights (heading towards carousel) it was a green arrow and I wanted to turn so I went thought the lights and as I did the lights changed to yellow so I exited the intersection and speeded back up to 70 (still in a 70 zone) then I sore the paddy wagon go through the lights with its lights on but as it?s a big blinded corner I didn?t wanted to pull over (there is a side street were a guy sells flowers) so I pulled in to the side street and they got out a started playing the hard cop thing asking me with a firm loud voice what it means when the lights go on and I said ?to pull over as soon as its safe to do so? so he asked why I didn?t pull over straight away and I told him why (blind corner that I have seen people almost have accidents on) then he asked in a loud firm voice why I was speeding and I said I wasn?t so he gave me a big lecture about how I could of killed drunk people walking around but I wasn?t going to give in as I wasn?t speeding so after practically yelling at me for 10min they said they were going to send me a summons in the mail for running an yellow light

Now I know I wasn?t going as slow as I could through both the corners but I wasn?t speeding or even coming close to driving the car hard so I don?t thing I did anything wrong but the cops till pull me over :(
man Im just so pissed of at some of the cops out there
    !END OF RANT!

    cops are bastards.

it sucks when your doing the right thing, and still get pulled over.

I don't care what they say, they will NEVER decrease the road toll untill they learn to reward people who do the right thing, by NOT fining them. fining everyone just pisses them off.

Some are ok but some are real

    *#$^$#&$*
    MY RANT

EG: Last week my wife had a miscarriage and she was on her way to the doctor (whilts miscarrying) and she got pulled over for doing 62 in an umarked 50 zone.
When she told the copper what was happening and that she didnt know it was 50 zone, he said yeh its really confusing isn't it.
He didn't give a flying fcuk that she was in a medical situation and said that to speed things up, he would post the ticket to her so she didn't have to wait long. (how nice of you)
Then when he asked for her license, he found that it had expired by two weeks. (she tried to renew it before we left for the US but Qld Transp said you can not renew a license until it is due.)
So he books her for driving unlicensed also !(how nice of you)

As I said, some coppers are ok but this maggot was just a young dopy smartass fcuking prick with no compassion.
$215 and however many points - Thanks mate - you are a true statesman and your compassion shown in this instance goes beyond your call of duty and will be remembered for years to come. I hope you get hit by a fcuking truck you prick!

    END

Write some nasty letter to the cop shop, and the local paper and Today Tonight/A Current Affar. They'll change their mind, and you get to go on the telly.

I have been VERY lucky so far, not one dickhead cop.... yet...

Very very sorry to hear that John,

I hope you & especially your wife are ok. In relation to the inconsiderate & non compassionate police officer giving your wife a hard time & an infringment , especially in her then condition, I would write a letter to the traffic infringement dept explaining the situation / circumstances at the time & hopefully they will see the injustice & let it pass or just give her a warning. They're a bit more understanding than some of our constabulary.

This also goes for you too 'BUZZ'! If you write to them & tell them what you have told us,without too much dribble as they just want a short simple explanation, & you will probably get a warning letter also.

    Good Luck to you both!
    Cheers
    Grahame.

Yea writing a letter would be cool but I want to see the infringement.... running a yellow light.... WTF what is that I have never herd of that the only offence i could find was a law saying you have to get out of a yellow light as fast as possible

From there website "Not leaving a traffic light intersection as soon as possible with yellow light, $100 and 0 points"

Thats a disgrace. If she was miscarrying at that time, she should have got a bloody police escort to the hospital instead of that bullshit.

John there is an out for your situation. He is supposed to ask if there is any reason or emergent situation that would cause your wife to be driving and or speeding. I think in the circumstances outlined by you that the emergent circumstance would allow you to get out of the ticket if she wants to fight it. I hope this helps.

You actually have to stop for a yellow too (if you can) A mate at work got booked the other day (in an old Pulsar) You can only argue it was not safe to stop in time. (3 below)

    http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/rulesregulations/downloads/p6.pdf

Part 6 Traffic lights and twin red lights
    Division 1 Obeying traffic lights
    Rule 57

    Rules

57 Stopping for a yellow traffic light or arrow
    (1) This rule applies to:
    (a) a driver approaching or at traffic lights showing a yellow
    traffic light; or
    (b) a driver approaching or at traffic arrows showing a yellow
traffic arrow who is turning in the direction indicated by
    the arrow.
Note Yellow traffic arrow and yellow traffic light are defined in the
    dictionary.

    (2) The driver must stop:
    (a) if there is a stop line at or near the traffic lights or arrows
and the driver can stop safely before reaching the stop
line ? as near as practicable to, but before reaching, the
    stop line; or
    (b) if there is no stop line at or near the traffic lights or arrows
and the driver can stop safely before reaching the traffic
lights or arrows ? as near as practicable to, but before
reaching, the nearest or only traffic lights or arrows; or
    (c) if the traffic lights or arrows are at an intersection
and the driver cannot stop safely in accordance with
paragraph (a) or (b), but can stop safely before entering the
intersection ? before entering the intersection.
    Offence provision.
Note Enter, intersection and stop line are defined in the dictionary.

    (3) If the traffic lights or arrows are at an intersection and the
driver is not able to stop safely under subrule (2) and enters the
intersection, the driver must leave the intersection as soon as
the driver can do so safely.

Yea that all makes sense but it doesn't say about a traffic offence for going through a yellow light and it was a green arrow anyway when i entered/entering and then changed to a yellow but i guess its still my word agents there?s witch is sh!t because its 2 agents one and they will win

I would be VERY surprised if you don't not only get off, but get a letter of apology along with it.

Sorry to hear that happened John, all the best to you and your wife.

i got booked for going 10 k/mh over the speed limit.. the cops didnt have a radar or werent even behind me (my mate was and it is a sinle lane road) cops pulled out after they saw my car (behind my mates lancer) put their sirens on so he pulled ovre and they ignored him and so i had to pull over. got the fine and i complained asying they didnt have a radar or werent even behind me to see how fast i was going and i get a letter today saying "your application for revocation has been refused" defiantely taking it to court. what do you think my chances of winning are?

and i dont think john would be happy with an apology letter from them. maybe if they allowed him to punch the officer a few times he would be happy
