Looks awesome, just a quick question. What ecu and fuel pump was used in the build??

What he said:) fair enough if you dont want to tell on a public forum... but what does a build like this set you back, like a ballpark figure?? Cheers :D

Thanks guys for comments....some answers to the various questions:

    1. a NISTUNE chipped OEM computer,
    2. running on 98 Octane pump gas,
    3. engine parts (block and head covers) were painted with high temp engine enamel
    4. We stopped the dyno at 20 psi of boost, but I'm sure their is probably a few more Kw still in it.
    5. Correction on the turbos, they are GT675RS for Z1 in the US. This is what they say:
    GT675RS Turbo Kit
The evolution of our Stage 3 Turbo leads to the Z1 GT675RS turbo kit.
They?ve taken the Disco Potato and given it a twist. Besides some modifications to make it a bolt on, the Garrett GT28RS is being used in its off the shelf form by JWT for their sport 700BB upgrade. Z1 also used this turbo in its "stock" form for a few months, but quickly realized that this turbo (the Disco Potato) wasn't well suited for the output of 1.5L (one side of the VG30DETT). It's a bit laggy and doesn't produce substantially higher output numbers to excuse it. Through modifications and changing the turbine housing to a smaller A/R, we have increased the response of the turbo without significantly affecting the peak output. The A/R ratio of the compressor and turbine covers are the same as the HKS 2530, with the same Garrett ball bearing center cartridge.
This winning combination results in the best all around turbo for the Z32's over 500 whp, at a great price! Will flow 28psi and can produce 600+RWHP on race fuel with proper tuning and moderate modifications. These turbos feature all new components; high output compressor, high-efficiency GT series turbine and compressor wheels. Uses a 5-bolt downwpipe and comes with flange adapters for a bolt-on setup to stock pipes.

Also I have PM'd those who asked how much a project like this would cost.
    Thanks again everyone,
    Cheers

damn! Awesome ride all up! outside and engine! Great to finish achievement after 2 years of building ey! Well done! Looks mad and 375rwkw is awesome on pump fuel :D

Now the bad news will be that when you decide to sell it for 15-17k, the 70k spent on the whole thing will be upsetting for all except the buyer ;( Damn Zs.

Very nice work John, look forward to seeing it at Armidale :)

You had a great mechanic there form Miracle Z Motors as well ;)

Questions; What cams you running (auto or manual or A/M) and Intercoolers?

    Just as well

You took the engine home when you did John
Not long after, the workshop was vandalised with idiots pouring petrol down the drains surrounding the workshop and setting fire to them, the resulting explosion did a lot of damage, cracked walls etc.
The headlights of the Roller you can see in this pic next to your engine suffered sever paint damage due to the fire and had to be repainted at a cost of several thousand dollars.
Your engine could have been part of the mess.

    Wow, that looks outstanding mate.

I too would have asked how much it set you back, but I think I should worry about actually getting a Zed first!

  14. Benny_C

    Benny_C About as subtle as...

That looks like a great engine bay! You've got a really strong engine there now. I'd say you'll easily get some more killawasps out of that setup though, i'd like to see you crack the 400KW mark. :)

Great work to you and to our friend Ron aswell. Top marks!!! :)

Kudos for anyone who does this kind of build i say.

    Takes a lot of dedication.

You could go out and buy a new 370 or whatever tickles your fancy, but its not the same.
