I wonder if... These 'TT snobs' have ever driven an NA? I would guess a lot of them haven't. And I wouldn't call any of them zed enthusiasts. To be a true zed enthusiast means respecting both types. TT and NA. Those that trash the NAs and think their owners questionable come off to me as nothing more than narrow minded hoons. I have driven both and love both types for what they are. I will always defend the NA against the arrogance of a few :zlove:
I've driven both... & at the end of the day it comes down to ONE thing! A Zed is a Zed, enough said...
I guess all it means is that, you may have power, but it does nothing for some peoples driving abilities it was downhill btw

Mate judging from all the various tech day/ sick TT stories Ive read over the years its entirely possible for an NA driver to encounter a TT owned by someone who has no idea their car is sick and underpowered. If I ever own a TT Id like to be one of these people because thinking your car is awesome for a few months then getting it fixed and getting full power must be a great experience!.:zlove:
I dont think your a hoon Your right, you didn't say anywhere on this thread bagging the NA because they have no turbos or think the owners strange so dont know why you took my piece to heart. I'm not refering to you, but over the years this forum (well the older one really) has seen quite a bit of NA zed trashing by TT owners. It is them I refer to. I agree, an NA beating a turbo is questionable but for the most part, it depends on driver ability and cars health, and how long for (to 60km/h, 80km/h or stupidly way over the speed limit until one person gives up or crashes and of course whether the other driver cares to race at all). I know I wouldn't care to, and I bet there are posts on other forums how their excel or lancer beat the crap out of my modded 300zx turbo. When I see cars pulled over on the side of the road though that had sped past me earlier detained by the cops I cant help but grin anyway A healthy modded NA could certainly have a chance against a unhealthy TT in saftey boost for a quick zip to the speed limit. Off the line the NA's are very good. I dont know why the NA is considered a crappy car by some TT owners. If they want to appear narrow minded and silly in front of every NA owner on the forum I guess thats their choice. But I will always defend both types of zeds. :zlove:

shifter I hear what you're saying.... the NA always cops shit, some in jest, some for real..... its all funny... Its like the fat kid in the class who cant run as fast as the others and is always picked on.....and then by some freak occurence the fat kid is loved and praised because he either bashed one of the annoying fast skinny kids or has a really hot sister that everyone in the class likes.... lol... anyway, back to the point..... our forum is actually not that bad..... you should check out twinturbo.net........ as soon as you say "I have an NA".... the first response you get is "sell it, get a TT"...lol.... even if you're just asking about gurgling AIV's..... because obviously they dont gurgle on TT's... i dragged dr zx's n/a, had the usual n/a mods plus an ecu, and man that thing hauled ass.. didnt keep up nor did it stand a chance against my tt, but god damn i was surprised at just how fkn quick it was, easily beats a 200sx or skyline.. and all ya usual 5.0 v8s.. EASY oh and the sound, theres a sound you get from the n/a's that you JUST cannot get from the tt's, (because the turbo's muffle the exhaust note) i mean my exhaust sounds nice, but it has the huffy note to it that all turbo's have, not that crisp raw un altered note you get from a tuned n/a.. it's the only thing im envious of..
if i had a turban, i would have to be called MR SINGH.. SO, cos i am not a sikh, and have a n/a my nic is black baz...

Back into the garage Andrew You're spending way too much time on the keyboard NA's rock! I loved driving Richo's manual - so predictable compared with my TT/Auto/Hicas. Turbo's are great tho you always seem to chase more boost.
